This update adds flexible RPCS3 trophy detection for EmuDeck, custom emulator layouts, and serious background performance improvements.

What's new

  • A new RPCS3 data folder setting lets you point Playhub Metadata to an RPCS3 installation, dev_hdd0, home, user, trophy, or individual trophy-set folder.
  • A controller-friendly folder picker is available directly in the existing RPCS3 card in the QAM.
  • Improved performance and reduced resource usage. The plugin now performs less background work, uses fewer system resources, and feels smoother throughout Steam Gaming Mode.

Improvements

  • The first QAM opening now reuses the metadata cache created during plugin startup instead of downloading and applying the entire cache again.
  • Library, achievement, RPCS3, and scraper settings are loaded in one bootstrap pass.
  • The backend now reparses the large settings file only when its timestamp or size changes.
  • Custom paths follow RPCS3 config/vfs.yml redirections, including EmuDeck layouts where dev_hdd0 lives on another drive.
  • The settings page reports whether the selected location is valid and how many trophy sets were found.
  • Existing game-to-trophy associations are preserved when the RPCS3 data location changes.

Fixes

  • Fixed sluggish gamepad navigation during the first QAM opening on installations with large metadata and achievement caches.
  • Invalid folders are rejected without replacing the last working configuration.

Existing metadata, credentials, imported achievements, trophy associations, and per-game settings are preserved.
