Your volume indicator now belongs to the same theme as your notifications. This update brings all seven styles to Gaming Mode's volume controls and makes friend notifications easier to recognize at a glance.
What's new
- Added a themed volume indicator for Gaming Mode, with Xbox Console, PlayStation, GOG Galaxy, Epic Games Launcher, Nintendo, Android and Playhub designs.
- The indicator appears when the Windows desktop is not running. On the desktop, Windows keeps its own volume display, so you never get two overlays at once.
- Added an independent volume-indicator toggle. You can turn it off without changing your notification settings.
Improvements
- Friend notifications now find Steam display names and avatars more reliably.
- Previously loaded avatars appear sooner in later notifications, with a fallback when an image is unavailable.
- The volume indicator follows the active audio output without interrupting the game or taking control away from your controller, mouse or keyboard.
