Playhub 1.1.0
This is a pretty packed update: Playhub is now easier to understand on first launch, more reliable when installing plugins, and much more powerful when bringing Xbox, Game Pass and Microsoft Store games into Steam.
What's new
- A completely redesigned Import Xbox Games page with Card and List views.
- Game names can now be edited before importing them into Steam.
- Playhub automatically recognizes games that are already in your Steam library, including games imported with previous versions.
- A new SteamGridDB artwork picker for Covers, Banners, Heroes, Logos and Icons.
- Artwork selections are preserved while switching categories and can be applied together.
- Artwork dimensions are displayed below every image.
- Quick links to create a SteamGridDB account and open your API key page.
- New built-in video tutorials for DeckyLoader, Quick Access, the Decky Store and Gaming Mode.
Improvements
- New responsive Xbox game cards optimized for vertical 600×900 covers.
- Card view is now the default and can be changed from Settings.
- Improved fallback artwork and icons for apps without a cover.
- Gaming Mode and its DeckyLoader Companion are now installed and removed together, preventing incomplete installations.
- Clearer DeckyLoader guidance and support for installing a specific build.
- Updated interface text and translations across all supported languages.
Fixes
- The Plugin Store now retries release detection when Install is pressed.
- Added a safe fallback to previously downloaded and validated ZIP files.
- Plugin packages with
plugin.jsonnested inside additional folders are now supported. - Installation verified for all eight Playhub plugin releases: Metadata, ThemeDeck, Launch Curtain, TrailerHero, Now Playing, Playhub Surround, Quick Settings and Weather.
- Games already imported into Steam are updated instead of duplicated.
- Improved the local build process to prevent files being locked by previous Debug instances.
Install or update
Download Playhub-Setup.exe below and run it. If Playhub is already installed, the installer updates the app while keeping your existing settings.
The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may display “Windows protected your PC”. Select More info → Run anyway to continue.
