- Capture exposure: Send the selected ISO and shutter settings immediately before warm JPEG/RAW capture, then restore automatic preview exposure after completion or handled failures and timeouts.
- Manual sensor requests: Disable automatic control and AE, set manual capture intent where supported, and request a frame duration that accommodates the exposure.
- Exposure diagnostics: Log requested versus actual ISO and shutter duration, together with actual frame duration, for standalone and warm JPEG/RAW captures.
- Preview rendering: Replace nearest-neighbour YUV420 chroma sampling with bilinear interpolation intended to reduce coloured-edge shimmer. Hide the legacy video output while Camera2 preview is active and apply the Camera2 top inset.
- RGB histogram: Replace luminance bars with overlapping red, green, and blue distributions. Scale preview samples using the selected-to-live ISO and shutter ratios to approximate capture exposure. This remains an estimate from processed preview pixels.
- Capture lifecycle: Avoid immediately unloading the camera when preparing capture, require a viewfinder object for live capture paths, and report unavailable warm capture in non-quality mode.
- Maintenance: Update the bundled probe binary and ignore the
RPM/directory. - Histograms: Smooth preview + simulated histogram path, RGB bins instead of luma-only bins, area-chart style instead of bars, with the same exposure simulation gain for ISO/SPEED
