Omnus Beta v0.2.0
Local-first study workspace. This build adds OI on the harness sidecar, optional CalDAV, color presets, and desktop auto-update.
Highlights
- OI: Ask your materials. Search stays full-text unless you turn semantic search on. OI can create a note or a task in the local hub. Your API key.
- Chat presets: Gemini, OpenAI, OpenRouter, or Ollama fill the existing URL and model fields. One chat slot stays active.
- Color: Lilac, Ocean, Lagoon, Ember, Graphite. Status colors and space badges stay fixed.
- Calendar: Optional CalDAV sync.
- Updates: The desktop app checks GitHub Releases on Lolax-dev/omnus.
- Still local: Spaces, documents, notes, and tasks stay on the machine. Optional BYO-Cloud uses your own drive.

macOS installers ship when the Mac build is uploaded. Until then, macOS stays on v0.1.1.
Unsigned builds
Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper may warn on first open.
- Windows: More info → Run anyway
- macOS: Right-click → Open, or System Settings → Privacy & Security. If the app is blocked as “damaged”, run once:
xattr -cr /Applications/Omnus.app
Known limitations (beta)
- Builds are unsigned (no Apple notarization / Windows Authenticode yet).
- Linux is not available.
- This site does not host your library. Notes stay in the desktop app.
