Release list
V2Mac 0.4.1
What's changed
- Select working servers automatically and make TUN failures explicit
- Add optional real-response server selection, ordered fallback, health checks, cooldowns and manual override, disabled by default
- Let users choose whether to stop the connection or keep the local proxy when the system tunnel fails
- Distinguish local proxy connections from active system tunnels and document DNS behavior and the future kill-switch design
Install
Download V2Mac-0.4.1.dmg, check it against the .sha256 file, and follow the first-launch steps in the README (the app is ad-hoc signed).
Full changelog: v0.4.0...v0.4.1
V2Mac 0.4.0
What's changed
- Add and edit servers by hand, with every option of each protocol
- New Server (Shift-Cmd-N, or Enter Details Manually in the Add sheet) builds a VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Hysteria 2, WireGuard, SOCKS5 or HTTP server from its fields
- Edit changes a pasted server in place; a subscription's server is edited as a copy saved in Custom Configs
- Transport, TLS and REALITY options and Mux can be set for VLESS, VMess, Trojan and Shadowsocks
- Edited servers keep a working share link and QR code
- Full Xray configs can be edited as JSON
- Click the server name in the bottom bar to jump to the active server in its list
- Opens the server's own subscription or Custom Configs, selects the row and scrolls it into view
- Add a Favorites list in the sidebar for the servers you star
- Add or remove a favorite from a server's right-click menu or from the inspector
- A favorite stays when its subscription drops it; automatic updates never remove one
- After a manual update, a message offers to remove or keep favorites that are no longer in the subscription
- Give the installer window a background with a drag-to-Applications arrow
- Opening the DMG now shows V2Mac and the Applications folder placed on either side of the arrow
- Show where your traffic comes out after connecting: flag, city, country and IP address
- The connection bar and the menu bar panel show the exit location and address, with a copy button
- The menu bar icon gets a green badge with the two-letter country code
- If nothing answers through the server, the app says traffic is not passing instead of just Connected
- Both can be turned off in Settings → Connection; the check is skipped in Direct mode
- Make the Update and Test toolbar buttons the same shape, with the icon and arrow centred
- Clicking the Update icon now updates right away without the proxy; the arrow beside it still opens the choices
- Add notifications for connection problems, expiring subscriptions and updates, with a Notifications tab in Settings
- Connection lost or failed, a busy port (with a button to use the next free one), and TUN mode stopping
- A subscription close to its expiry date or traffic quota, each warning sent once
- A new V2Mac or Xray core release, a failed automatic update, changed servers, and a finished delay test
- Every kind has its own switch in Settings → Notifications; the quieter ones start off
- Add an "Allow insecure servers" setting so servers with a self-signed certificate can connect
- Off by default, in Settings → Connection; it only affects servers whose link says allowInsecure
- Works for connecting, switching servers and delay tests, including Hysteria 2
- Refresh a subscription once so its existing servers pick this up
- Import Shadowsocks links that use v2ray-plugin or simple-obfs, and Hysteria 2 links with a pinned certificate
- Shadowsocks servers behind v2ray-plugin, xray-plugin or simple-obfs (HTTP mode) are no longer skipped
- Hysteria 2 links with pinSHA256 are no longer skipped, so self-signed servers that pin their certificate connect

V2Mac 0.3.5
What's changed
- Make resizing the window about twice as fast and cut background redraws
- The inspector is now a fixed-width panel beside the server list, which is what made resizing slow
- Running a delay or speed test no longer re-sorts the whole server list on every result
- Selecting a server no longer rebuilds the server list
- The connection bar and menu bar panel redraw only the speed numbers each second
- The log window keeps following new lines after 5000 lines and stays fast when the log is full
- Add TLS fragment, noise packets, custom DNS and switching servers without a restart
- New Connection tab in Settings with a switch for each of these
- TLS fragment and noise packets help reach servers on filtered networks; both are off by default
- Custom DNS chooses the servers used for routing decisions and for direct traffic
- Picking another share-link server now replaces it inside the running core, so the local port stays up
- Full Xray configs keep their own DNS and always restart when you switch to them
- Fix a crash in narrow windows and make resizing the window much smoother
- The app no longer quits by itself when the window is narrow and the inspector is open
- The connection bar now works out what fits from its width instead of laying itself out five times
- Resizing the window no longer rebuilds the whole server list on every step
Install

Full changelog: v0.3.4...v0.3.5
V2Mac 0.3.4
What's changed
- Stop the server list from sliding sideways when all its columns already fit
- Swiping left or right moves the list only when the columns are wider than the window
- Place the menu bar icon beside the system icons instead of at the far left
- A newly installed V2Mac no longer starts where the MacBook notch hides it
- An icon you already moved by Command-dragging stays where you put it
- Make TCP Ping work for full Xray configs instead of showing "n/a"
- A full config is pinged at the address of its proxy server
- Hysteria, WireGuard and mKCP servers still show "n/a" because they do not use TCP
- Move the custom config routing note into the connection bar's status line
- A full Xray config now shows "Connected · Custom routing" instead of a separate "Managed by this config" label
- This leaves room for the local address next to the traffic graph and speeds
- Stop the traffic graph from shifting sideways as the speeds change
- The download and upload speeds in the connection bar now keep a fixed width
- Keep the traffic graph and speeds in the connection bar when the sidebar is open
- In a narrow bar the download and upload speeds stack on two lines instead of disappearing
- If there is still no room, the local address is hidden before the speeds are
- Fix the speed test always showing "failed"
- The default speed test file is now 50 MB, because Cloudflare refuses downloads of 100 MB or more
- A saved copy of the old default address is replaced automatically

What's changed
- Add subtle animations to state changes across the app
- The menu bar panel now animates connecting, connected and failed states like the main window
- Copy buttons show a checkmark for a moment after copying
- The subscription header slides in, and its usage bar and numbers animate after an update
- Errors in the Add sheet, the empty-list card and changing rows in Settings fade in instead of popping
- The Update toolbar button turns while a subscription is being fetched
- Always show the Custom Configs group and open the Add sheet on Custom Config
- The Custom Configs group stays in the sidebar even when it is empty
- Its menu now deletes all of its configs instead of removing the group
- The Add sheet's fields change with an animation when you switch type
- Show the empty server list message on a Liquid Glass card
- Show the subscription's support and account links as small labelled badges
- Show the real protocol, transport and security of full Xray configs in the Type column instead of "custom"
- Servers already in the list pick up their real type the next time their subscription is updated

V2Mac 0.3.2
What's changed
- Add custom configs by pasting them with ⌘V or from the Add sheet
- The Add sheet has a Type menu to choose between a subscription URL and custom configs
- Custom configs take one or many share links or Xray JSON configs in a large text box
- Pressing ⌘V in the main window adds the configs on the clipboard straight away
- Pasted configs are kept in their own Custom Configs group above the subscriptions
- Servers in Custom Configs can be deleted one by one from the right-click menu
- Mark the active server with a dot and a bold green name instead of a separate column
- Remove the empty marker column before the flag
- Show a dot before the active server's name, green when connected and gray otherwise
- Highlight the active server's row instead of showing a marker column
- Remove the empty marker column before the flag
- Tint the active server's row green when connected, gray otherwise
