First public alpha of OBR Music Tool: replace any of Oblivion Remastered's 28 music tracks with your own audio, build a patch .pak, and package a Nexus-ready ZIP. Expect rough edges. If something breaks, open an issue and paste the Activity log (there is a Copy button above it).

OBR-Music-Tool-v0.1.0-alpha.1-windows-x64.zip contains obr-music-tool.exe, the LICENSE and the README. Unzip anywhere and run it. No installer, no admin rights, no internet access.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered (Steam or Xbox / Game Pass)
  • Wwise Authoring (free, about 2 GB) to convert MP3 / WAV / OGG / FLAC into the game's .wem format. Step-by-step install instructions are in the README under "Installing Wwise". Not needed if you only use pre-encoded .wem files.

What is in this build

  • Inventory of all 28 vanilla tracks (Battle, Dungeon, Explore, Public, Special) with preview playback
  • Replace any track with .mp3, .wav, .ogg, .flac or .wem; conversion runs in the background through WwiseConsole
  • Build & install PAK straight into the game's Paks folder
  • Export PAK to any location
  • Package release ZIP: the PAK in the OblivionRemastered/Content/Paks/~mods layout plus a generated README.txt, ready for Nexus / Vortex / MO2
  • Save and open playlists (.obrplaylist) so a mod can be reopened and tweaked later
  • Copyright reminder before exporting, with a "don't show this again" option
  • Automatic detection of the game (Steam registry and libraries, Game Pass) and of Wwise

Known limitations

  • Replaces existing tracks only. Adding new tracks to the playlist is planned for a future update.
  • Tested on the Steam version; feedback from Game Pass installs is welcome.
  • Windows only.
