Full Changelog: 1.0.0...1.0.1
1.0.0
First public release.
A local image folder as the background source
- Works with folders outside your vault, with
~and${ENV}/$ENVexpansion - Recursively scans subfolders: png, jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp, webp, svg, jfif, avif
Only the image on screen is ever read into memory
- The folder scan produces a list of file names; the active image is read into a blob URL and revoked as soon as it is replaced
- A library of thousands of images costs nothing at idle
No-repeat shuffle rotation
- Every image appears once per round, reshuffled only when the list is exhausted
- Manual switching and auto rotation share the same playback list
Appearance
- Opacity (0–0.8), blur (0–100 px), size modes, and blend mode (
auto/multiply/lighten) - Crossfade transition that respects the system "reduce motion" setting
Theme integration (opt-in, off by default)
- Make the theme's opaque background colors transparent so the wallpaper shows its true colors
- Restore the title bar and sidebar divider lines, with configurable color and opacity
- Scoped to
.workspace, so modals and menus are unaffected
Other
- Change the background from the command palette or the status bar
- Copy diagnostics collects runtime, CSS feature support, theme variables and computed styles for issue reports
- UI follows Obsidian's language setting (Chinese and English)
Requirements: Obsidian 1.13.0 or later, desktop only.
No network access and no telemetry. Reads only the image folder you configure.
