@LowLevelLogic LowLevelLogic released this 25 Oct 02:04
7ca5f11

First public release of dedupPictures: a fast, visually-aware photo deduplicator for local folders and Synology NAS.

Highlights

  • Three matching modes: exact (SHA-256), --similar (127-bit dual-gradient perceptual hash, finds recompressed or resized copies), and --semantic (local CLIP model, finds retakes and burst shots; nothing leaves your machine).
  • Synology-native mode: talks to the DSM FileStation API and analyses server-generated thumbnails instead of downloading originals. Supports 2FA / Secure SignIn.
  • Interactive review UI: a local, token-protected web dashboard to toggle KEEP/DELETE. Selections auto-save, and --resume picks up where you left off.
  • Encrypted thumbnail cache: NAS preview thumbnails are stored AES-256-GCM encrypted with a key derived from your password (Argon2id).
  • Safe by default: dry run unless you confirm in the UI or pass --delete.
  • Per-user session state, a lifecycle event log, and parallel hashing with a persistent cache.

Security

  • Bumps openssl to 0.10.81, resolving all open RUSTSEC/GHSA advisories in the dependency tree.

git clone https://github.com/LowLevelLogic/synology-dedup-photos
