CFBRevamped SDK v1.3.6
We are excited to roll out ASTra v1.3.6, completely revamping the visual experience with our new dynamic Theme System and Settings interface!
🎨 New Features
Dynamic Theme Framework
- ThemeManager Introduced: The static UI styling has been rebuilt into a dynamic, runtime-swappable theme engine.
- Three Core Themes:
- Dark (Default): The deep, focused dark mode you're used to.
- Dark Blue: A cool, slightly tinted dark mode for reduced eye strain.
- Light (Experimental): A bright, high-contrast theme for sunlit environments.
- Custom Accent Colors: Personalize your workspace! You can now swap the primary accent color of the SDK to Blue, Orange, Green, or Purple.
- Zero-Restart Swapping: Changing your theme or accent color applies instantly across the entire application without needing to restart the SDK.
Settings UI
- New Settings Dashboard: The placeholder Settings tab in the Hub has been fully populated.
- Persistent Preferences: Added a unified
SettingsControllerthat seamlessly saves your Appearance configurations to the system registry, ensuring your chosen theme persists across sessions.
Interface & Quality of Life
- Global Version Badges: The updater badge
[Pre-release Build] / [Update Available]has been ported from the Game Library into the Home and Settings dashboards. You can now check for updates or see your current version directly from any tab. - Consistent Styling: Removed hundreds of hardcoded inline styles in the C++ codebase, centralizing them in
astra_theme.qss. - Polished Dropdowns: Cleaned up the rendering of combo-boxes and drop-downs across the UI to look more native to the selected theme.
🐛 Known Bugs
-Themes dont work as good for some reason will be fixed later, accent colors work fine, will add more later.
CFBRevamped SDK v1.3.5
Overview
This release focuses on improving performance and responsiveness when working with large AST archives. CFBRevamped SDK now uses background indexing and true lazy loading to reduce startup times and eliminate unnecessary parsing.
🚀 Changes
Background Indexing
- File trees now populate immediately instead of waiting for full asset analysis.
- Archive indexing runs in the background using QtConcurrent.
- Added progress tracking through QFutureWatcher.
True Lazy Loading
- Heavy asset parsing is now deferred until needed.
- APT XML generation only occurs when entering edit mode.
- DDS, APT, DAT, and RSF files are decoded on demand instead of during loading.
🧪 Validation
- ✅ Successful build via CMake
- ✅ All
gf_tests.exechecks passed - ✅ 875 assertions passed
- ✅ Existing APIs remain fully compatible
This update continues improving CFBRevamped SDK's foundation for handling large archives efficiently and lays the groundwork for future modding workflows.

ASTra Core v1.0.2
Hotfix Update
This update addresses a critical issue with texture replacement quality.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug in the DXT1 compression pipeline that caused severe texture degradation (blotching, smearing, and incorrect colors) when importing TGA textures
- Corrected endpoint handling and color reconstruction to better align with in-game rendering
- Improved overall compression accuracy for field and logo textures
Notes
- This is a targeted hotfix with no new features
- Some unrelated issues may still exist
- Please report any remaining problems on GitHub
ASTra Core v1.0.1
Overview
v1.0.1 is a stability and quality-of-life update following the initial 1.0.0 release.
This update focuses on improving reliability, adding a proper update system, and providing clear feedback during core operations. The goal is to continue transitioning ASTra into a stable, retail-grade tool.
✨ New Features
🔄 Auto Updater
- Added built-in update system using GitHub Releases
- Version status indicator now shown in the top-right of the app
- Supports status tags:
LatestUpdate AvailableBetaNightlyPre-Release
- Safe update flow (no in-place executable overwrite)
- Lays groundwork for future stable/dev release channels
⚠️ Operation Feedback System
Added user feedback for core operations:
- Save operations now display:
- Success confirmations
- Failure popups with context
- Extract operations now display:
- Completion confirmation
- Error feedback when issues occur
- Import/Replace operations now display:
- Success confirmation
- Validation/operation failure messages
This improves visibility and prevents silent failures.
