v1.5.0 summary

TL;DR

  • Route ordinary PATH-shim launches through the transparent tunnel so opted-in Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor sessions get network visibility by default.
  • Start the macOS local UI with shielded sessions and surface its loopback link in the persistent status line.
  • Keep routine startup to one to three useful lines while retaining private per-session JSON diagnostics and an explicit --verbose troubleshooting mode.
  • Preserve SSH and credential boundaries while fixing Linux Landlock grants for legitimate regular files under ~/.config.

Added

  • Private shield session logs: each launch records structured diagnostics in
~/.agentjail/logs/, keeps the newest 10 files, and accepts
agentjail run --verbose -- <agent> to mirror them to stderr.
  • macOS UI auto-start: shielded sessions start the loopback UI on demand and
expose a clickable 📊 UI link in the persistent status line when reachable.

Changed

  • Tunneled PATH-shim launches: the opt-in wrappers now enter
agentjail run --tunnel -- <agent>, preserving child arguments and launch
policy while enabling transparent network visibility by default.
  • Compact startup: routine launch details move out of the interactive
terminal. Sandbox readiness, required consent, enforcement failures, and the
    broad SSH-signing warning remain visible.
  • Concise SSH bootstrap: the selected identity, session-only OpenSSH scope,
and passphrase privacy statement share one consent prompt. Launch-time Codex
hook reassertion no longer repeats install-only trust guidance.

Fixed

  • Linux config-file grants: regular files directly under ~/.config receive
file-scoped Landlock rights instead of invalid directory-only rights, removing
noisy EINVAL skips and restoring intended read access.
  • Shared local UI address: UI launch and status-line rendering use one typed
loopback address contract instead of duplicating the endpoint.

Security

  • Private diagnostic storage: shield log directories are forced to mode
0700 and log files to 0600; retention and log-open outcomes are audited
    without recording file paths.
  • Important warnings stay interactive: quiet mode does not suppress
malformed-policy failures, sandbox downgrades, SSH delegation scope, or other
    actionable security notices.
