This release introduces project environments: a way to document where a project runs and the conditions it uses, such as its operating system and runtime. Each environment has a name and category, with optional runtime details and a description.

Authenticated users can create, list, update, and delete environments within their own projects. A new global endpoint supports searching across owned projects, with category and project filters, sorting, and pagination. Environment names are unique within each project after trimming and case normalization.

Environments remain readable when a project is archived, but cannot be changed until it is restored. Permanently deleting a project also deletes its environments. Apply the new Prisma migration when updating an existing database.

DevLog 1.0.0 — MVP Complete

DevLog 1.0.0 marks the completion of the project’s MVP. It brings project management and a technical journal together so you can organize your work and keep track of what you learn along the way.

With this release, you can manage projects and their technologies, commands, and resources; record technical issues and lessons learned; organize entries with tags and project links; and document solution attempts. You can also resolve and reopen issues while preserving their history, search and filter journal entries, and format entry details with Markdown. Quick Capture gives you a shortcut to create a new journal entry.

DevLog includes account-based authentication and keeps each user’s projects, entries, and tags private.

Profile editing, project environments, an activity timeline, and a knowledge overview are planned for future releases.
