This section allows you to manage various general settings for the encoder and the interface, such as the instance name and the access password.

Fraunhofer FDK library for AAC encoding: |
Indicator showing whether the FDK-AAC library is present on the host machine. If the indicator shows "Missing", this means that the FDK-AAC library, which is required for AAC encoding, was not found on the host machine. In this case, you can download the library automatically or manually by clicking the indicator and following the on-screen instructions. If the indicator shows "Detected", this means that the library is present on the host computer and you can now encode streams in AAC. |
Instance Name |
An optional parameter that allows you to name your instance. This name will appear in the interface header, on the tab, and in alert emails. |
Hide instance name on Login page |
Hides the instance name both on the login page and in the tab title. This enhances confidentiality by preventing unauthenticated users from identifying the instance. |
Interface Theme |
Allows the user to choose between a light and dark interface. |
Admin Password |
Allows you to set the password required to access the interface. The default value is admin. For obvious security reasons and to prevent unauthorized access, it is strongly recommended changing this value at first use. |
Webserver Port |
Setting for configuring the port used to access the interface. The default value is 8090. Any change to this value will trigger an automatic restart of the encoder in order for the change to take effect. |
Automatic reconnection timeout to streaming servers |
If the connection to the streaming server is lost, the encoder will wait for the specified number of seconds before attempting to reconnect. Attempts to reconnect will be carried out until the connection is restored. |
Enable CPU/RAM Monitoring |
When enabled, this feature allows you to monitor the host computer's CPU and RAM usage in real time via an indicator located in the upper-right corner of the interface. The values are updated every 10 seconds. |

View System and Authentication Logs |
WestBroadcast Encoder includes an history feature that contains logs of various events that have occurred, as well as the IP addresses that have connected to or attempted to connect to the interface. This log is stored in the host computer's RAM. Note that restarting the software clears the log. By clicking this button, you can filter events by type and export the list to a text file. |
Export Configuration |
Allows you to export the encoder's configuration in JSON format. This is useful if you want to keep a backup of your settings. |
Import Configuration |
Allows you to import a configuration backup in JSON format. |
Restart |
Allows you to remotely restart the encoder (Audio engine and web interface). |
Factory Reset |
This function resets the encoder to its factory settings. This is useful if you want to start a new configuration from scratch. |
