First public release of a portable Markdown memory system for agents.

• Six MCP tools for baseline context, lexical discovery, canonical reads, guarded writes, deletion, and maintenance diagnostics.
• A bilingual default usage guide; personal memories start empty. Initialization and upgrades preserve user edits.
• Local stdio and authenticated Streamable HTTP, including opt-in URL credentials for URL-only clients.
• Chinese lexical search without embeddings or API keys.
• Syncthing preparation for offline device replicas, with explicit conflict diagnostics.
• Cross-process local write locking and etag checks; bounded baseline context excludes Identity and Note by default.
• Chinese and English READMEs, remote deployment, sync, and document-format guides.

Requires Node.js 22+. MIT licensed.

Install:

npm install -g agent-knowledge-mcp@0.1.0

Or configure a local MCP client to run:

npx -y agent-knowledge-mcp@0.1.0 serve

Validation: 16 local tests; all six Linux/macOS/Windows × Node 22/24 CI jobs passed. Real MCP clients verified both transports. Two isolated Syncthing peers verified seed replication and create/update/delete propagation. A packed-package installation verified the executable, default guide, persistence, and HTTP CLI.

Remote credentials grant access to all six tools. External editing and replication do not participate in local write locking; synchronization is eventual and is not backup. OAuth discovery and hosted-client-specific integrations are not included.
