What's new

Security & hardening

  • Path traversal protection: project names are validated to prevent .. escape (#S1)
  • Symlink safety: template copy, remove, and archive skip symlink destinations and paths that resolve outside the project
    root
  • Directory collision handling: operations skip gracefully when a managed path is unexpectedly a directory
  • Windows cross-drive fix: no more crashes when paths span different drives

Reliability

  • write_todo and write_decisions no longer silently overwrite existing files — --force is now required
  • cmd_new validates the template directory before creating the project dir, preventing orphan directories
  • All file I/O uses explicit encoding="utf-8" for cross-platform consistency

Testing & CI

  • Added 36 pytest unit tests (previously zero coverage)
  • Added markdownlint and lychee link-checking CI workflows

Docs

  • Filled all TBD placeholders in PROJECT.md, CONVENTIONS.md, AGENTS.md
  • README restructured with generated-files tables, Development and Maintainers sections
  • Copilot instructions now include real inline commands (no more TBD)
  • GEMINI.md cleaned up — removed unverifiable import syntax

Breaking changes

None. All CLI commands and flags work the same as v0.1.0.
