Release 1.0
Initial Release
The purpose of this software is to be a comprehensive tool for solid motor design. Currently, this software features 3 separate simulation and iterative tools.
New Features
- Nozzle Iterative Solver
- Apogee to required impulse simulative calculator
- A complete rocket flight simulation used simulated thrust curves
Future Features
- Binder system curative ingredient calculator
- Nozzle to ideal grain geometry solver
Feature Breakdown:
Nozzle Iterator
A nozzle iterative tool that utilizes the openMotor simulation tools to find an ideal nozzle based on existing grain geometry and propellant configuration. This tool features parallel simulation; however, DO NOT USE MORE THREADS THAN AVAILABLE ON YOUR DEVICE. Be sure to know the number of CPU threads you have available before using this, as this simulation is very computation-heavy and is significantly faster under safe parallel simulation.
Impulse Calculator
Impulse Calculator is a tool for estimating the range of impulse needed to bring a rocket with certain parameters to a desired apogee. It is useful for quickly gathering options for burn times and average thrust combinations that are sufficient for a given rocket to reach a given apogee.
Thrust Curve Simulation
Similar to openRocket, the thrust curve simulation tool uses a thrust curve CSV that can be saved and generated through the nozzle iterator. The overall purpose of this tool is to verify and experiment with different motors and quickly simulate them.
