ImageLayerStudio

Photoshop-style layered compose for ComfyUI. Set a fixed canvas, add layers, then move, rotate, and scale each layer.

Install

ComfyUI Manager: search ImageLayerStudio or ComfyUI-ImageLayerNode after the registry entry is live.

Restart ComfyUI, then hard-refresh the browser (Ctrl+F5).

The node is at Add Node → image → layers → ImageLayerStudio.

Usage

1. Set canvas_width / canvas_height. Output size follows the canvas, not the input images.
2. A new node starts with layer_01. Click Add layer to add layer_02, layer_03, and so on (up to 16).
3. Connect an image to each layer. Connect a mask to layer_XX_mask when you need one.
4. Select a layer in the left list. The viewport only edits that layer.
5. Fill shows the whole image. Input uses the connected mask / image alpha.
6. Drag the selected layer to move. Drag a corner to scale. Drag just outside a corner to rotate. Scroll to scale.
7. Use the right column for precise X / Y / R / Z values.

List order is front to back. Drag the list to reorder. First in the list paints in front.

Press the play button on this node to run connected editors (Crop, SAM, and so on) and load their results.

Outputs

• output: composed RGB, size = canvas width × height
• mask: canvas alpha
• layer_XX / layer_XX_mask: the same size as the canvas, one pair per current layer

Controls

Action	What it does
Left list	Select the layer to edit. Drag to reorder
Fill / Input	Fill shows the whole image. Input uses the layer mask
Viewport	Move the selected layer. Corners scale. Just outside a corner rotates
X / Y	Position
R	Rotation in degrees
Z	Scale offset. 0 is 100%, positive zooms in, negative zooms out
Add layer	Add the next layer_XX inputs
Delete selected layer	Remove the selected layer
Undo	Step back one change
Reset	Fit every current layer to the canvas. Links stay connected
Save	Write the current transforms into the workflow

Load Image usually appears immediately. If the image comes from Crop, SAM, or another editor, press play on this node first.
