Silent self-updates are now opt-in; the app always tells you instead. Since 1.5 the daemon
quietly updated and restarted itself by default. It now follows the same policy as our other
apps: a check still runs on the same cadence, but by default an available update is announced
(a persistent toast with an "Update now" button, riding a new daemon-wide event stream at GET /api/events) rather than installed behind your back. Setting autoUpdate: true restores
exactly the old silent behavior, active-run deferral and dirty-tree guard included, and the new updateNotify setting can silence the announcements. The reasoning is borrowed from
QuickDictate's v0.5.4 change: an unattended installer means anyone able to publish a release
reaches every install within a day, so installing stays a human's click.
