Kivgraph v0.9.10
Kivgraph v0.9.10 makes coding-agent research more visible, safer, and easier
to audit.
kivgraph configureinstalls MCP, skills, hooks, and user-level
instructions for every selected agent.kivgraph instructions install
remains available for installing instructions independently. Codex, Claude
Code/Desktop, OpenCode, and Oh My Pi use their native configuration surfaces,
with managed prompts referenced by absolute path and existing customized
prompts preserved unless--forceis requested.- Kivgraph MCP calls now have an explicit visible-use contract. Agents name
the tool, target, and purpose before each call;find_by_intentincludes its
exact intent. The freshness gate repairs a stale target checkout only through
approval-gated indexing and never uses a graph from another checkout as
evidence. kivgraph logsnow shows bounded, safe query summaries in aligned columns.
Opaque keys, consent data, and absolute paths are excluded from the durable
record, including Windows and UNC paths. A missing symbol is rendered as the
neutralNOT_FOUNDresult rather than a failed tool call.
This release changes agent setup, MCP guidance, and local operator logs. It
does not change graph or schema data, so existing installations do not need to
rebuild their graph. Install it through the stable channel or run
kivgraph update --channel stable to follow stable releases.
Kivgraph v0.9.10-dev.1
Kivgraph v0.9.10-dev.1 makes coding-agent setup global, guided, and
semantic-first.
kivgraph configureandkivgraph instructions installconfigure the
selected agent's user-level settings instead of modifying repository
instructions. Codex, Claude Code/Desktop, OpenCode, and Oh My Pi use their
native configuration surfaces.- Managed
KIVGRAPH.mdprompts are referenced by an absolute path for
Codex, Claude, and Oh My Pi. Existing managed project prompts and relative
references migrate safely, while customized prompts remain protected by
--force. - The installed prompt requires Kivgraph MCP research before exploration
subagents or semantic text search. It maps code-research questions to the
relevant tool, records fallback limits, and requires consent for indexing.
This development release changes agent setup behavior only. It does not change
graph or schema data, so existing installations do not need to rebuild their
graph. Install it explicitly and use kivgraph update --channel dev to follow
the development release stream.
Kivgraph v0.9.9
Kivgraph v0.9.9 adds guided setup for coding agents and improves MCP
consent compatibility.
kivgraph configurenow guides first-run setup for Codex, Claude Code,
Claude Desktop, OpenCode and Oh My Pi. It can configure MCP, the Kivgraph
skill, hooks, the supervised daemon and project instructions from one
command.- Agent instructions can be installed explicitly with
kivgraph instructions install. The command writes the native
AGENTS.md,CLAUDE.mdor.omp/AGENTS.mddestination for the selected
client and preserves existing project instructions. - The installers offer guided configuration after a successful install.
KIVGRAPH_CONFIGURE=0skips the offer, whileKIVGRAPH_CONFIGURE=1
accepts it when an interactive terminal is available. A non-interactive
install remains successful and prints the command to run later. - Codex MCP consent uses native tool approval together with
confirmed: true, while URL-only MCP clients use the explicit
confirmation fallback and clients supporting form elicitation retain the
interactive server prompt.
This release changes client setup and MCP consent handling only. It does not
change graph or schema data, so existing installations do not need to rebuild
their graph. Install it through the stable channel or run
kivgraph update --channel stable to follow the stable release stream.
Kivgraph v0.9.9-dev.2
Kivgraph v0.9.9-dev.2 improves index_project consent compatibility in
Codex Desktop.
- Codex uses its native tool approval together with
confirmed: true, so
indexing no longer depends on a server-side form elicitation that Codex
cannot answer. - URL-only MCP clients use the explicit confirmation fallback, while
clients that support form elicitation keep the interactive server prompt. - The Codex setup guidance documents
approval_mode = "prompt"for
index_project.
This release changes MCP consent handling only. It does not change graph or
schema data, so existing installations do not need to rebuild their graph.
Install it explicitly and use kivgraph update --channel dev to follow the
development release stream.
Kivgraph v0.9.9-dev.1
Kivgraph v0.9.9-dev.1 is a development prerelease for keeping graph content
freshness observable while sources change.
graph_statusreports freshness for the currently published generation
and avoids serving stale cached status after source changes.- Freshness monitoring covers configured roots, manifests, and build
configuration files, including explicit manifests outside project roots. - Exclusion matching is consistent for recursive, absolute, and relative
patterns, with invalid patterns rejected before monitoring starts. - Monitor and publisher lifecycle safeguards prevent stale state and
concurrent ownership races during refreshes.
This development release changes monitoring and status behavior, not graph or
schema data, so existing installations do not need to rebuild their graph.
Install it explicitly and use kivgraph update --channel dev to follow the
development release stream.
Kivgraph v0.9.8
Kivgraph v0.9.8 keeps Kivgraph-managed runtime integrations in sync after
an update.
kivgraph updaterepairs a Kivgraph-managed stale supervisor when the
installed unit uses a repairable legacy format, then verifies that the
restarted supervisor is installed before continuing.- The update protects the supervised daemon process from generic stale
process cleanup, including when a refresh or endpoint check fails. - Public supervisor restart behavior is covered by regression tests across
the update and supervisor layers.
This release changes installed runtime integration behavior, not graph or
schema data, so existing installations do not need to rebuild their graph.
Install it through the stable channel or run kivgraph update --channel stable
to follow the stable release stream.
Kivgraph v0.9.8-dev.1
Kivgraph v0.9.8-dev.1 is a development prerelease for testing managed
daemon refresh during updates.
kivgraph updaterepairs a Kivgraph-managed stale supervisor when the
installed unit uses a repairable legacy format, then verifies that the
restarted supervisor is installed before continuing.- The update protects the supervised daemon process from generic stale
process cleanup, including when a refresh or endpoint check fails. - Public supervisor restart behavior is covered by regression tests across
the update and supervisor layers.
This development release changes installed runtime integration behavior, not
graph or schema data, so existing installations do not need to rebuild their
graph. Install it explicitly and use kivgraph update --channel dev to follow
the development release stream.
Kivgraph v0.9.7
Kivgraph v0.9.7 keeps Kivgraph-managed runtime integrations in sync after an
update.
kivgraph updaterefreshes the installed supervised daemon after
replacing the bundle, so open chats continue reaching the new daemon without
a manual reinstall.- The update refreshes Kivgraph-managed hooks, skills, and MCP registrations
while preserving user-owned configuration, project-scoped entries, and
unrelated integrations. - Endpoint migrations require durable Kivgraph ownership evidence, avoiding
accidental replacement of ambiguous user configurations.
The update-runtime tests cover supervised daemon restart and owned hook, skill,
and MCP refresh. The integration migration tests cover endpoint ownership and
token replacement. The release validation passes go test ./... -count=1,
make test-ladybug, and make landing-check.
This release changes installed runtime integrations, not graph or schema data,
so existing installations can upgrade without rebuilding their graph.
Kivgraph v0.9.6
Kivgraph v0.9.6 makes development builds easier to install and keeps
graph-backed searches reliable across agent worktrees.
scripts/install-dev.shinstalls a checkout safely by verifying a local
bundle, replacing only the executable atomically, and restoring the previous
executable if a supervised daemon restart fails.kivgraph update --channel stable|devselects the update channel while
prerelease installations follow the development channel by default.- The search gate recognizes wrapped and file-listing searches correctly
and can identify a registered repository from a linked Git worktree, avoiding
unnecessary blocking or missed graph-backed guidance.
No stored graph data changed shape, so requires_reindex is false: existing
installations can upgrade without rebuilding their graph.
Kivgraph v0.9.5
Kivgraph updates now restart the supervised daemon reliably when profiles are
configured. The daemon publishes its endpoint at installation scope, where
both lifecycle commands and integrations expect to find it.
kivgraph updatereplaces and restarts the supervised daemon instead of
leaving the previous release running after an upgrade.kivgraph mcp installreaches a profile-backed daemon without requiring
--stdioor a manually copied endpoint file.- Profile graph data remains isolated while the installation continues to
use one supervised daemon and one shared control endpoint.
No stored graph data changed shape, so requires_reindex is false: existing
installations can upgrade without rebuilding their graph.
