Cyber Controller 2.0.1 improves the firmware workspace, device connections, Flipper and Rayhunter controls, and installation reliability.

App and device improvements

  • Keep flash output visible while browsing firmware. The catalog and output scroll separately, with readable status and download-mode help on short windows.
  • Collapse the Cross-Comm target list and restore its state when the app reloads.
  • Preserve the selected device on first connection and keep serial output flowing after a fast reconnect on the same port.
  • Show Marauder BLE scan reports in a separate, bounded history with source, signal and time. Reports without a verified address stay separate from addressable targets; history currently lasts for the running session.
  • Improve disclosure labels, tool guidance and firmware catalog sizing on small or short windows.
  • Use qFlipper's command-line tools for supported firmware and device-management operations. On Windows, CC can install the official portable qFlipper package. Firmware that needs SD-card resources still requires the appropriate vendor update process.
  • Install and check Rayhunter on an Orbic RC400L over the network, inspect its status and reports, and export a local report with sensitive fields redacted.
  • Calculate antenna element lengths from the Operate tab.
  • Clarify that Map survey capture and local track viewing are still in development. CSV upload sends an existing survey to WiGLE.

Reliability and access controls

  • Close the startup splash before the launcher opens, report missing dependencies accurately, and renew the single-use desktop login when falling back to a browser.

  • Keep serial and bundled-tool ownership consistent through cancellation, reconnects and failed cleanup. Background bundled-tool routes now report admission conflicts and operation results consistently.

  • Save or reset the web login password in Settings. Password changes invalidate existing web sessions and their live connections.

  • Handle missing wordlists, invalid report data and automatic flash-baud selection more consistently.

  • Report unsupported driver operations and transport refusals accurately. Macro checks examine the expanded command before it is sent.

  • Preserve an existing bundled-tool installation when replacement fails or is interrupted. A final progress callback failure no longer relabels a completed installation as failed.

  • Include required interface, profile, image and documentation resources in Python distributions. Optional setup features check their runtime before prompting for configuration.

  • Protect one-folder installations from standalone binary replacement. Dismissing an update-failure notice leaves staged files intact.

Linux

Linux builds now include QtWebEngine, QtPy and the missing Qt/XCB dependencies. Build checks verify the frozen binary's libraries, chooser and an isolated Qt interface fixture on Ubuntu. These checks do not establish complete application behavior on every distribution. Headless startup chooses browser mode before opening Qt.

  • x64: glibc 2.35 or later; built on Ubuntu 22.04.
  • ARM64: glibc 2.39 or later; built on Ubuntu 24.04.

After downloading the x64 binary:

chmod +x cyber-controller-v2.0.1-linux-x64
./cyber-controller-v2.0.1-linux-x64

Use the linux-arm64 filename for ARM64. Desktop mode needs a graphical session; use --ui web on a headless machine.

Updating

Windows installer builds still use the latest installer to upgrade. In-place binary replacement is limited to recognized standalone builds; automatic installer upgrades remain in development. Check your download against the attached SHA256SUMS.txt.

VirusTotal

The exact download hashes and scan reports are linked below. A scan result is a point-in-time report, not a guarantee that a file is harmless.

Windows portable: Bkav and Zillya report two detections. They have not been confirmed as false positives. The installer has 0/68 reported detections in this scan.
