JournalLens 0.3.5 improves journal coverage, abstract recovery and body-figure extraction.

Highlights:

  • Adds a Crossref /works ISSN fallback when a journal-specific Crossref endpoint returns no items.
  • Adds publisher-page abstract fallback using citation_abstract, description metadata and JSON-LD abstract/description when Crossref and Europe PMC have no abstract.
  • Shows article-body or extended figures only; preview images, og:image, JSON-LD images, graphical abstracts and TOC graphics are no longer used as figures.
  • Normalizes all displayed figure labels to Fig. N style.
  • Bumps the figure cache schema so old preview-based figure results are discarded.

Install: download journallens-0.3.5.xpi below, then Zotero -> Tools -> Plugins -> gear icon -> Install Plugin From File.
