Build Hub Changes

  • Fixed: JAMF - iOS and visionOS projects no longer show the unusable Smart Groups and Audit Policy options, and the link after uploading now opens the right mobileconfig location instead of the dashboard

  • Changed: JAMF - Audit Policy moved from Upload Settings into the scripts box, next to Remediation and Forced Mode, since it's the policy that runs that script

Note: The Build Hub redesign continues with Workspace ONE and Intune together, bringing both tabs the same guided upload that Jamf Pro received last release, plus a few things only each platform can do. Fleet, Iru, and Addigy are next, one release at a time. Feedback welcome!

  • Changed: Workspace ONE and Intune uploads are now a guided four step flow (Settings, Review, Upload, Verify) inside the Build Hub, matching Jamf Pro
  • Added: Review before upload. See everything headed to your MDM, uncheck what you don't want, and preview any file. Nothing is sent until you confirm
  • Added: Upload verification. After uploading, MACE confirms every item actually arrived on your server, with a link straight to each item's console page
  • Added: Save multiple Workspace ONE servers and Intune tenants and switch between them. Credentials live in the macOS Keychain, and your last used one connects automatically
  • Added: Test Connection now verifies the API access MACE needs and shows exactly what's missing. WS1 also reports your console version, Intune your tenant name
  • Added: Activity history. Every connection test and upload is saved per project with date, account, and per item results
  • Added: The Build Hub remembers all your Workspace ONE and Intune choices between sessions
  • Added: WS1 - Choose how compliance reports back: Sensors (modern) or Custom Attributes (works on every license). One switch, MACE builds the right artifact
  • Added: WS1 - Choose how the compliance script is delivered: Scripts or a classic Product. Product delivery is created inactive, so nothing touches a device until you say so
  • Added: Intune - Settings Catalog delivery. Supported settings upload as native, console editable policies; anything the catalog can't model ships alongside as a preference file, so nothing is dropped
  • Added: Intune - Compliance Policy. Your baseline becomes real Intune device compliance: failing Macs are marked noncompliant with the exact failing rules named, and Conditional Access can act on it. Created unassigned until you pick a group
  • Added: Intune - Mark Noncompliant grace period. Choose immediately or after 1 day, 1 week, or 30 days, so brief failures can heal before anyone loses access
  • Added: Intune - Assignment Filter. A reusable filter matching your project's OS version, so console assignments can target exactly the devices this baseline is for. Deploys nothing on its own
  • Added: Intune - Script Frequency. Pick how often uploaded scripts rerun, from every 15 minutes to every week, with a heads up on schedules faster than recommended
  • Changed: WS1 and Intune - Build and Upload options merged into one Upload panel with Off, Combined, and Individual controls per item, matching Jamf Pro
  • Changed: Intune - Profile and Audit Preferences names clean themselves up as you type, so the name shown is always the name Intune accepts
  • Changed: Upload progress on both tabs matches the new Jamf look with animated progress and a completion summary
  • Fixed: WS1 and Intune - The Advanced installer's uninstaller now uploads alongside the installer like on Jamf Pro, with its own name and toggle
- Added: A Get in Touch line under Upload Settings on Jamf Pro, Workspace ONE, and Intune. Feature requests for each MDM are welcome and shape what each release adds

Feedback Needed

Application rules are in alpha. These rules were derived from CIS and DISA STIG official sooroughly tested. We are working with official and community macAdmin sources to find a permanent home for these rules.

Your feedback on application rule accuracy and usability is especially appreciated.

We'd love your help testing features to make sure everything works as expected.

If you run into any issues or have suggestions, please open an issue at [github.com/mace-app/mae-app/mace/issues).

Known Issues

  • Window resizing on other tabs: With the Build Hub's window changes, the other MDM tabs and Local Build may not resize properly yet. They'll be corrected as each one is rebuilt.
  • UI font sizing: May vary depending on your system's accessibility, display, or font settiing fonts across every screen, so this is on hold for now.
  • Sequoia & below: Glass/blur effects don't look quite right on older macOS versions. Adjuswithout these effects will take time.
  • Console logging: May not capture all events. Logging is being improved incrementally as features are updated.
