Build Hub Changes

  • Added: Staged rollouts to Fleet. Giving the configuration profiles a prefix or name other than the stock one now uploads them beside the existing set instead of replacing it, so a new version can be scoped to a pilot group while the current one stays on everyone else. Re-exporting under that same name replaces only that copy, and switching back to the stock name replaces only the original. DDM declarations in the same export follow the same rule.

  • Fixed: Hold for Scoping now also holds the compliance policies. Previously the policies went live on every host in the team as soon as they were uploaded, even though the profiles were held, so the compliance script could run on hosts that had not been scoped yet. Held policies now target the same empty staging label as the profiles until you adjust them in Fleet.

  • Added: Custom Baseline Name. Give a tailored baseline its own name, such as company_macos_v2, and every artifact follows it: the compliance script, the org.<name>.audit exemption domain, audit preferences, the Jamf schema, configuration profile and DDM identifiers, reporting scripts, Fleet policies, and the GitOps kit all stay in sync. Set it once per project on Local Build or any MDM tab's Upload Settings. Leave it empty to keep the compliance id. Requested by @mafr78.

Audit Builder Hub Changes

  • Changed: Include Exemptions reads exemptions from the project's custom baseline name when one is set, so audits match what the script deploys.

Feedback Needed

We'd love your help testing features to make sure everything works as expected.

If you run into any issues or have suggestions, please open an issue at github.com/mace-app/mace.

Known Issues

  • mSCP Engines: I expect issues with the mSCP engines since they rely on the mSCP 2.0 Python scripts, which don't have everything fully mapped out yet.
  • mSCP Engines: Custom rules are not currently supported.
  • UI font sizing: May vary depending on your system's accessibility, display, or font settings. A fix requires reworking fonts across every screen, so this is on hold for now.
  • (Sequoia & Below): Glass/blur effects don't look quite right on older macOS versions. Adjusting visuals to work well without these effects will take time.
  • Console logging: May not capture all events. Logging is being improved incrementally as features are updated.
