Main App Changes
-
Changed: Bundled mSCP data updated to the latest upstream main (Release 27.0), adding iOS 27 CIS and STIG baselines, macOS 27 NLMAPGOV baselines, 7 new rules, and updated references across about 200 rules.
-
Changed: Updated Yams and swift-collections to their latest releases and removed the unused PythonKit dependency, which was tracking a branch that no longer exists upstream and would have blocked fresh builds.
-
Changed: Reorganized the Build Hub code and tuned the Debug compiler for faster builds and quicker turnaround on fixes. No changes to features or behavior.
Compliance Editor Changes
- Fixed: Rule edits no longer disappear after closing and reopening a project whose project file has been renamed from
MACE_Project.mace. Edits were always saved correctly, but on reopen the editor only looked for overrides next to a file with that exact name, so custom ODV values, titles, checks, and every other change showed their original values again. Projects with a renamed file now load all their saved edits, including ones made before this release. - Added: Shift+Up and Shift+Down now extend the rule selection one row at a time from the anchor row, matching shift-click, so a range can be built from the keyboard for bulk actions. A plain arrow key collapses the range back to a single row.

Feedback Needed
We'd love your help testing features to make sure everything works as expected.
If you run into any issues or have suggestions, please open an issue at github.com/mace-app/mace.
Known Issues
- mSCP Engines: I expect issues with the mSCP engines since they rely on the mSCP 2.0 Python scripts, which don't have everything fully mapped out yet.
- mSCP Engines: Custom rules are not currently supported.
- UI font sizing: May vary depending on your system's accessibility, display, or font settings. A fix requires reworking fonts across every screen, so this is on hold for now.
- (Sequoia & Below): Glass/blur effects don't look quite right on older macOS versions. Adjusting visuals to work well without these effects will take time.
- Console logging: May not capture all events. Logging is being improved incrementally as features are updated.
