What's new in 0.1.2

• Restore takes back a whole word typed letter by letter, erased with Backspace, or replaced by typing, in one press.
• Typewriter mode keeps the line you are writing at the lower third in long chapters too; past the first screen it used to drop below the window.
• Escape closes Settings, and its way back is now "← Back to writing".
• Save snapshot in the status bar says "Snapshot saved." when it works.
• About links the third-party notices.
• Clearer text everywhere: the welcome guide says "this computer" and "assistants"; Typography names the system faces in Spanish; the grey text is easier to read in Folio light and Quarry light.

Fixed

• A settings file with one mistyped value no longer resets every setting: only that value falls back to its default.
• Ollama's replies lose their reasoning block (<think>…</think>), so it never reaches a chapter.
• Test connection for a local server asks it the way Save does, so ::1 can be tested and the two cannot disagree.
• The crash report's "Open an issue" says so when the browser cannot be opened, with the address to copy.
• Creating a branch and restoring a file wait for a backup in progress, so neither lands in the middle of one.
• The credential store's errors say what happened instead of a raw code.
• A synopsis written by hand as a YAML block (synopsis: |) is read whole.
• One list of languages, in one order, wherever a novel's language is chosen.
• The closing page's preview shows the publisher and rights; an error in Settings no longer covers the foot of the form; the page is set only in a writing face; a screen reader hears the page as "Chapter text".

Installing

macOS will say the app is damaged. It is not.

The bundle carries no Developer ID signature, so macOS quarantines it and
Gatekeeper reports the most misleading message it has. Clear the quarantine
flag once, in Terminal:

xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Versorium.app

Run it only on a build you took from this release page — that flag is the
check that protects you from a tampered download.

SmartScreen will interrupt the installer.

The installer is unsigned for the same reason the macOS bundle is, so Windows
shows the blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Choose More info, then
Run anyway. Signed builds need Apple and Microsoft
certificates, which the project does not have yet.

Updates are verified against Versorium's own signing key either way: an
update that was not signed by it is refused.

Corregido

What's new in 0.1.1

• Settings, reorganised. Pages grouped by what you are doing: Writing, Your novel, AI (tasks, models, assistants) and Other apps (access and activity), with Application and About below.
• About. The version you have, who makes Versorium, its license, and where its updates come from.
• A local server (LM Studio, llama-server) can be given to a task, like any other model.
• Continuity is run from the Manuscript dialog.

Fixed

• Windows: the app did not start on a Windows without the Visual C++ runtime ("MSVCP140.dll was not found"). It no longer needs it.
• Links (the crash report's Report button, and About's) now open in your browser.
• Rewrite with Codex works in the installed app.
• Settings → Author keeps your profiles.
• Linux without the standard folders (no ~/Documents configured) finds its projects folder.
