v0.3.21-beta Highlights

  • Explicit numbered lists, spoken bullets, and short clear questions bypass LLM latency through a high-confidence local fast lane.
  • Ambiguous dictation still routes through the configured AI formatter, preserving the deeper rewrite path where it adds value.
  • Spoken list introductions now use a proper lead-in colon, and follow-up questions remain outside the list with correct punctuation.
  • Includes the v0.3.20 motion, processing-loop, Qwen warm-up, and installer-build reliability improvements.

  • Talk-Dat-Setup.exe is the recommended custom glass Windows installer.
  • Talk-Dat-Windows-Portable.zip is the no-installer portable build.

First Run

Launch the app, choose a speech provider, paste your own API key, and save setup. The microphone stays off until you press a trigger or click the pill.

Privacy

This release does not contain API keys, private config, dictionaries, snippets, or transcript history. On Windows, saved provider keys use Windows Credential Manager; non-secret preferences and local content stay under %APPDATA%\TalkDat.
