DSH Launcher v0.1.0 – First Public Release

We are excited to announce the initial release of DSH Launcher, a Windows desktop launcher for the DeepSeek Harness.

What’s New

  • One‑click launcher: Starts the DeepSeek Harness and opens it in a dedicated Edge app window.
  • Automatic update checks: On every launch, the launcher checks for new versions of the harness and offers to update.
  • Version picker: Choose between stable and alpha builds from a user‑friendly dialog.
  • Self‑contained installer: A single .exe that installs the launcher and optionally installs Node.js if missing.
  • Per‑user install: No administrator rights required.
  • Clean background operation: No console window remains open; the harness runs silently.

Installation

Download DSH-Launcher-Setup.exe from the assets below and run it. After installation, launch “DSH Launcher” from the Start Menu.

Known Issues

  • The first launch after installing a new version may show a “disconnected” page until the app is restarted (the launcher will prompt for this).
  • Windows SmartScreen may warn because the executable is not code‑signed. Click “More info” → “Run anyway”.

Supported platform

  • the current release is for Windows (x64), and it runs on ARM64 via emulation
  • for better experience on ARM64, rebuild it on ARM64 device as per the instructions in README.md
