What's new

v2.8.0 ships two versions of changes together — v2.7.0 was developed but never released publicly, so everything below is new since v2.6.0.

Sweep tab

A dedicated tab between Instances and Settings showing per-instance sweep stats. Each instance card shows its Sweep Mode, Last Run time, Library State (Cutoff Unmet and Backfill counts from your current library), and This Run counts (Eligible, On Cooldown, Capped, Searched from the last sweep). Disabled instances retain their last known stats and show a Disabled pill rather than going blank. Tooltips on each heading explain what each stat means and how to tune it.

Exclusion list

Hover any History row to reveal a ⊘ icon — clicking it adds that title to an exclusions list, preventing Nudgarr from ever searching it again. An Exclusions filter pill appears in History when exclusions exist. Excluded items stay visible in History as a record of past searches but won't be searched in future sweeps.

Onboarding expanded

First-run walkthrough expanded from 8 to 10 steps, including a dedicated step covering how to read your Sweep Stats and tune your settings gradually. Replay Walkthrough button added to Advanced → UI Preferences.

Codebase restructure

The monolithic nudgarr.py has been split into a proper Python package under nudgarr/ with separate modules and a routes layer. No functional changes, no config changes, no new dependencies. Docker users are unaffected — image behaviour is identical.

Upgrading

No config changes required from any previous version.

Security note

SESSION_COOKIE_HTTPONLY=True is now explicitly set. SESSION_COOKIE_SAMESITE is intentionally not configured — Nudgarr is a LAN-only tool and SameSite=Lax breaks POST requests through reverse proxies (Unraid, Synology).
