Can download SteamOS-Ubuntu image version 1.1.0 following LINK

Remember, the system username is steam and the password is steam.

AYN Odin 3 (SM8750) uses the same image as the SM8550 handhelds. In ROCKNIX-ABL choose Set the Device → AYN Odin 3.

The flashable image for this release is the one already shared from Drive.

Kernel 7.2.10 for cards already flashed

uname -r is 7.2.10-edge. The package replaces masi-kernel-edge-sm8550 7.2.2-edge-sm8550-3.

Each image has its own ext4 UUID. The installer reads the UUID of the root filesystem that is running and repacks /boot/KERNEL with that UUID. It does not keep the UUID baked into the published kernel. If that UUID cannot be read, the install stops.

Download masi-kernel-edge-sm8550_7.2.10-edge-sm8550-1_arm64.deb from this release, then:

sudo apt install ./masi-kernel-edge-sm8550_7.2.10-edge-sm8550-1_arm64.deb
sudo reboot
uname -r   # 7.2.10-edge

ABL after reboot: Vol Down → Set the Device → your model → Linux → START.

Odin 3

  • Audio: Off, HiFi quality Music (DisplayPort, Speaker), Pro Audio. HiFi while a dock is connected.
  • Gaming Mode keeps one Steam layout. The touch panel does not switch the glyphs to Xbox.
  • Boot shows SteamOS-Ubuntu / Starting on the panel.
