Known Issues (6.0.0-beta2)
- The
superinstaller package is not yet notarized by Apple. This should not present a problem for most managed deployment workflows, but downloadedsuperpackages may fail when installed manually due to file system quarantine. Removing the file quarantine will resolve this issue. - Full support for declarative software update enforcement is still in the works. Support coming soon.
- Due to a swiftDialog issue the user schedule dialog does not currently support a dialog timeout.
- Forced macOS update downloads via
softwareupdateoccasionally fail upon first attempt, but they are consistently successful after multiple attempts. - The MacAdmin's SOFA Apple Beta feed technically exists but it's not currently being updated by the SOFA project. Thus, systems enrolled in a macOS beta program cannot take advantage of this resource.
- There are currently no publicly available Background Security Improvement (BSI, formerly named Rapid Security Response) updates for any version of macOS. As such, production BSI update workflows have not been validated.
