Kadhai 1.0.0-beta.2
A small update to the beta: security fixes and an easier way to report bugs.
New
- Report a bug from inside the app: in the more menu and the About panel. It opens the bug form on GitHub with your version and setup already filled in (folder paths are left out, since reports are public).
Security
- Desktop app: Electron 44.7.0 -> 44.9.3, which stops trusting compromised eMudhra intermediate certificates.
- Server: body-parser 1.20.8 -> 1.20.9 (used by Express), which fixes a denial of service via trailing bytes after a compressed request body. Kadhai listens only on your own computer, so the exposure was small.
Install
Windows: download Kadhai-Beta-Setup-1.0.0-beta.2.exe below and run it. No Node.js needed. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may warn about an unknown publisher: choose More info, then Run anyway. Your keys, settings and agents carry over from beta.1.
Any system with Node.js 20 or newer:
git clone https://github.com/Madhuhas/kadhai.git
cd kadhai
npm install
npm start
