ToraSEO App 0.0.8 - Unified release packaging, Codex bridge reliability, and native chat polish
ToraSEO App 0.0.8 is the first release line built around one unified public release entry. It keeps the dual-mode product shape from 0.0.7, but makes the delivery, bridge flow, and native AI workflow noticeably more consistent.
Highlights
- Unified the public release entry for the desktop app, Claude Bridge Instructions ZIP, and Codex Workflow Instructions ZIP
- Improved Codex bridge result delivery so structured findings populate the app instead of depending on external chat text
- Kept completed bridge results visible after temporary bridge cleanup
- Improved Codex setup UX with a persistent helper, copied-prompt feedback, and clearer approval guidance
- Improved native AI chat behavior, locale handling, and post-scan interpretation flow
- Added per-model provider checks that distinguish real model connectivity from structured audit-output support
- Hardened MCP mismatch handling so protocol token values are no longer exposed in user-visible responses
Included assets
- Desktop installer assets
toraseo-claude-bridge-instructions-v0.0.8.ziptoraseo-codex-workflow-v0.0.8.zip
Starting with 0.0.8, these assets belong on one release page. Older standalone instruction-package releases remain available as historical downloads, but the app release is now the canonical public entry point.
What changed
App
- Bridge-mode results now map structured
buffer[toolId].datainto visibleOverviewandConfirmed facts - Bridge severity summaries now understand both
issues[]and the olderverdicts[]naming - Completed bridge results remain visible after temporary bridge state cleanup
Copy setup promptnow shows a persistent Codex helper near the sidebar until the user dismisses it or real bridge data arrives- Prompt copying now shows immediate in-app feedback
- Native AI chat now supports scoped pre-scan guidance, automatic post-scan interpretation, copy actions for assistant replies, and better long-model-name handling
- OpenRouter settings now test each saved model separately and show whether the model returned a structured audit result or only a plain response
- OpenRouter diagnostics now show provider-reported usage when available
MCP and bridge
- Codex workflow guidance now explicitly steers users toward one-time chat or session approvals when available
- Bridge mismatch handling no longer discloses expected or received protocol token values in MCP responses or app-visible error text
- Prompt construction continues to avoid exposing protocol token values in renderer-visible text
Docs and packaging
- Public release packaging now targets one app-led release entry
- Claude and Codex packages remain independently buildable through dedicated workflows and manual packaging paths
- Release docs, smoke tests, and release-note conventions were updated for the unified app release model
- Added a repo-side model compatibility note for native AI chat testing
Installation notes
- New users should start with the desktop app asset from this release page
MCP + Instructionsusers still need the MCP server plus the relevant instructions ZIP in their AI clientAPI + AI Chatusers must configure a supported provider and model inside ToraSEO Settings before running native interpretation- Users upgrading from 0.0.7 should update the app and download the refreshed instruction ZIPs from this same release
Known limits
- Codex clients still control MCP approval UX; ToraSEO can guide the user but cannot grant tool permissions silently
- Native AI chat quality still depends on the configured provider and chosen model
- Not every OpenRouter model is equally reliable for structured audit output; some models answer normally but do not consistently return the strict audit contract
Verification focus
- Verify a real Codex bridge scan populates
