Relay v0.3.6 — per-workspace add buttons in the sidebar

Relay v0.3.6 tightens the sidebar: workspaces create their own terminals inline.

• Every workspace row now carries a + button that creates a terminal in that workspace and switches to it — no need to open the workspace first. It mirrors the row's "New terminal" context action.
• The WORKSPACES header and its global "New workspace" button are gone. Workspace creation stays where it belongs: each host section's + and Cmd-N.
• Workspace rows still drag to reorder; the add button never interferes with dragging.

Existing workspaces and persistent terminal sessions are preserved.

Relay v0.3.5 — image paste uploads and Settings host management

Relay v0.3.5 adds image paste uploads and moves host management into Settings.

• Paste an image (screenshot, Copy Image) into the terminal to upload it exactly like a dropped file: sess transfers it to the workspace host and inserts the quoted remote path without pressing Enter. Text clipboard content still pastes as text, and copied files are left alone.
• Hosts are now added and removed from Settings only. The sidebar no longer offers host actions. Removal is a confirmed action and leaves the machine's workspaces and sessions untouched.
• Hosts discovered from sess are listed in Settings as read-only entries managed by sess.

Existing workspaces and persistent terminal sessions are preserved.

Relay v0.3.4 — no more duplicate default host

Relay v0.3.4 removes a duplicate "default" host that could appear in the sidebar.

• The sess tool stores its single remote under a fixed slot named "default"; Relay listed that internal alias as its own host section even when the same SSH target was already listed as a sess preset. Host sections now dedupe by SSH target, so each host appears exactly once under its real name (e.g. local-vm).

Relay v0.3.3 — every host in one sidebar

Relay v0.3.3 shows every execution host together and restores native terminal mouse and clipboard behaviour.

• The sidebar lists Local and every remote host as collapsible sections. Drag host sections to reorder them and drag workspaces within a host; the layout survives reloads.
• Create a workspace directly inside a specific host from its section header. An unreachable host shows its connection error inline instead of hiding its workspaces.
• Cmd/Ctrl+Up and Cmd/Ctrl+Down move through the active host's workspaces only. A keystroke never silently switches execution hosts; clicking another host's workspace still does.
• Terminal text selection is local: drag selects normally, and mouse events reach the remote application only while Option/Alt is held.
• Right-click the terminal for Copy, Paste and Select All. Copy preserves the text you right-clicked on even when the click lands inside the selection, matching macOS Terminal.app.
• Menu Paste inserts clipboard text without submitting so you can edit before pressing Enter.
• Fixed: after a right-click in the terminal, the mouse wheel and clicks near the cursor could stop responding because an internal xterm helper element hijacked input there.

Relay v0.3.2

Relay v0.3.2 adds editable files and repository comparisons, and fixes new-terminal tab selection.

• Edit local and VM files with Save or Cmd/Ctrl+S. Drafts survive tab switching; conflicting disk changes prevent stale saves.
• Compare repository files against dev, main, or a custom Git ref. The explorer marks added, modified and deleted files; changed files open a side-by-side diff.
• Agents can persist a comparison ref using relay --workspace ID repo compare REPO --ref dev --json.
• The Repositories browser lists registered repositories, origin, paths, branch, Git status and workspace attachments. Use its + button to add a repository.
• Creating a terminal from a non-first tab now keeps the new terminal selected.
• Repository and workspace AGENTS.md files link to Relay CLI documentation.

Comparisons include committed, staged, unstaged and untracked changes against the selected commit. Remote refs use their last fetched state. Existing workspaces and persistent terminal sessions are preserved.

Relay v0.3.1

Fix Relay agent CLI launches and distinguish Relay from the inherited Orca tooling.

• relay terminal run --command ... now creates and starts a persistent terminal headlessly. terminal new remains a tab-creation command.
• Add terminal read, terminal send --input-text ... [--enter], and terminal remove CLI commands, with workspace ownership checks.
• Include a version-matched Relay CLI guide in the deployed backend and generated workspace instructions. Relay does not require orca-ide and does not claim to implement Orca's DAG/worker messaging protocol.
• Preserve the working sess 0.7.0 SSH file-upload integration.

Validation: 39 backend tests; five concurrent headless terminal launches, output reads, and replies tested locally and on local-vm; installed-app native file drop rechecked against the VM for exact content, private permissions, and no automatic Enter; TypeScript, lint, build, and skill validation passed.

macOS Apple Silicon; ad-hoc signed, not notarized. Agent processes remain running across the app restart. Agents that already loaded stale Orca instructions should reread the installed Relay CLI skill.

Relay v0.3.0

Relay 0.3.0 completes the Magi rename and adds file drops powered by sess 0.7.0.

• Drop files into a local terminal to insert quoted paths. VM terminals upload through sess over SSH and insert verified remote paths without submitting the prompt. Up to eight regular files, 25 MiB total; folders and clipboard image pixels are not supported.
• Bundle the official sess 0.7.0 client, verify the release archive against pinned SHA-256 checksums, and discover its current host presets. The first VM upload updates that host's sess helper.
• Rename the CLI, source/build directories, application ID, environment variables, and default storage locations to Relay. Local data moves to ~/Documents/Relay, VM data to ~/relay, and the macOS profile to ~/Library/Application Support/relay. Compatibility symlinks and CLI aliases preserve existing commands.
• Keep workspace IDs, uncommitted files, and running tmux processes through migration. New terminal IDs use relay-; existing magi- sessions remain usable. sess's new zmx sessions and existing tmux sessions are separate; this release retains Relay's tmux terminal adapter.
• Restore terminal colors and true-color capability reporting. Support native OSC 8 hyperlinks and complete URLs wrapped across lines or table cells.

Validation: backend and parser tests, TypeScript checks, lint, production build, signed-package verification, and hidden Electron tests against local terminals and local-vm. Tests cover native file drops, upload content and permissions, no automatic Enter, old-version migration with an unchanged terminal PID, links, colors, clipboard, and scrolling.

macOS Apple Silicon build. Ad-hoc signed; Apple notarization and automatic in-app installation are not enabled. Restart agents in a fresh terminal after updating to inherit the color-environment fix.

Relay v0.2.9 — a new name and logo

Magi is now Relay.

• Relay app name, window title, menus, repository, documentation and release links.
• New cyan R icon on the existing yellow background.
• New relay agent CLI; magi remains a compatibility alias.
• Existing workspace paths, preferences, application identifier and sess/tmux session names remain stable.
• Homebrew cask renamed to deepaksilaych/tap/relay, with a migration mapping from magi.

Verified with 35 backend tests, updater tests, typechecks, a packaged UI test and an isolated old-Magi-to-Relay migration test confirming the same host terminal process survives.

Apple Silicon / macOS 12+. Ad-hoc signed and strictly verified; not notarized. Automatic installation remains disabled.

Magi v0.2.8 — a standalone repository

Magi now lives at https://github.com/DeepakSilaych/magi.

• Standalone repository with preserved Orca/Magi history and license attribution.
• Rewritten README covering installation, workspace layout, host ownership, persistent sess terminals, multi-repo worktrees, Git and Linear integrations, and agent CLI usage.
• Magi-specific contribution guide, issue templates and backend CI; inherited Orca deployment workflows removed.
• Release links and updater feed point to the new repository. Homebrew installation command stays the same.

The application identifier and workspace locations are unchanged. Current builds remain ad-hoc signed, strictly verified, and not notarized. Automatic installation remains disabled.

Validated with the build, typechecks, updater tests, backend tests and an isolated packaged UI smoke test. Apple Silicon / macOS 12+.
