  • Open directly in Quiz with compact tabs and a note-bank menu.
  • Get random chords in Learn too, including the first chord.
  • Tap Next to skip and hear the next question immediately.
  • Reveal an answer without changing your score.
  • Keep the note quiz layout stable after answering; open A/B comparison when needed.
  • Keep Learning/Learned banks, replay and direct chord selection.

All app features remain free. Pitch/song analysis, metronome playback,
permissions and dependencies are unchanged.

Google Play production access has been granted. Play release review and public
availability are separate from this GitHub testing release.

Half/double-time interpretations can remain ambiguous even with a strong rhythm
match. Song chord recognition remains experimental; this is not a claim of
universally accurate transcription.

The APK is debug-signed for direct testing and is not the Google Play bundle.
Use the attached SHA-256 file to verify the download. The app has no ads,
accounts, analytics, tracking, Internet permission, or advertising ID.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.33 testing build.

  • Keep Hear and Next buttons on screen while practising.
  • Build separate Learning and Learned note sets, saved locally.
  • Compare two notes with A/B buttons or continuous alternating playback.
  • Quiz only the notes in your selected set.
  • Get randomized chord and note questions. Two-note quizzes can repeat either note so the answer is not predictable.
  • Choose chord roots and qualities from grids instead of horizontal strips.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.31 testing build.

  • Hide song-tempo analysis by default under Get tempo from a song.
  • Expand the section to select a file, view progress and apply detected BPM.
  • Collapse it without clearing the analysis result. Expansion survives configuration changes.
  • Use translated labels and accessible expanded/collapsed state in all five languages.

This is a focused UI update. Audio analysis, metronome playback, permissions
and dependencies are unchanged. The screen-on and tempo improvements from
alpha30 remain included.

Google Play production access was requested on 22 September. Google's approval
is pending; this release does not imply a production rollout.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.30 testing build.

  • Keep the screen on while the tuner listens, including pauses between notes. Normal screen timeout returns when tuning stops or you leave the tuner.
  • Detect tempo from changes across frequency bands, with filtering that prevents steady and fading tones from masquerading as beats.
  • Refine BPM between analysis frames instead of rounding to coarse lag steps.
  • Show the score as rhythm match, not a probability that the BPM is correct.
  • Use clearer song-analysis actions and descriptions in all five app languages.

The change uses native Android screen-on behavior without a wake-lock permission,
global display changes or a new dependency. Pitch and chord recognition are
unchanged. Tempo checks include clear rhythms, timbre changes, noise, fading
tones, syncopation, drift and half-time ambiguity. All checks were silent.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.29

Pre-release

@github-actions github-actions released this 22 Sep 21:12
497b0c4

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.29 testing build.

  • Detect low extended-range guitar and bass notes in imported songs.
  • Retain A0 at 44.1 kHz and with common reference-pitch offsets.
  • Reject reproduced false notes and chords caused by out-of-range PCM16 residue.
  • Preserve quiet melody detection and the existing recorded-song predictions.
  • Keep live tuning, settings, permissions, and offline operation unchanged.

The 48 frozen recording/gain cases retain exactly the same 1,665 predictions.
There are also 216 low-note controls, 240 negative controls and 288 quiet-melody
comparisons. See docs/song-low-notes-2026-09-22.md for scope and evidence.
All current song checks were silent. Coverage is not chord accuracy.

Google Play production access was requested on 22 September. Google's approval
is pending; this release does not imply a production rollout.

Recognition work remains open. Dense mixes, ambiguous voicings, and some
single-note harmonic stacks still produce errors. Experimental neural models
are not included. This build does not claim universally accurate transcription.

The APK is debug-signed for direct testing and is not the Google Play bundle.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.28

Pre-release

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Sep 13:52
6126d0e

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.28 testing build.

  • Remove reproduced phantom chords around single-note passages.
  • Retain clear added ninths and avoid virtual bass inversion labels.
  • Correct the root of spread major voicings while preserving ambiguous chord-name ranking.
  • Correct note-change timing and melody suppression by bass accompaniment.
  • Keep live tuning, settings, permissions, and offline operation unchanged.

The song checks cover real Android file decoding, spread major voicings, added
ninths, melody octaves, ambiguity, silence, and stereo cancellation. The dated
release record lists exact local, emulator, and Huawei results. Coverage is not
chord accuracy.

The 48 frozen recording/gain cases show no root or supported-quality regression.
See docs/song-evidence-2026-09-19.md and docs/store/2026-09-19-alpha28-release.md
for evidence and delivery status. All current song checks were silent.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.27

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Sep 09:47
6dc5c06

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.27 testing build.

  • Refine quiet frequencies from the current PCM with a bounded harmonic model.
  • Retain weak fundamental candidates previously hidden by deeper multi-period troughs.
  • Correct candidate ranking that could latch onto the octave below a quiet first strike.
  • Preserve microphone capture, settings, feedback rejection, UI and offline operation.

The frozen hard-decay comparison improves from 743/846 to 837/846 correct fresh
windows within 10 cents. The separate 48-case quiet-start comparison improves
from 1088/1368 to 1368/1368. These are generated noisy signals, not recordings
of an unplugged guitar through a phone. Real-recording nominal-note results
remain unchanged, including an unresolved octave error.

Checks cover quiet acquisition, decay, stopped tones, new strings, noise, bass,
upper partials and confirmation echoes. See docs/quiet-harmonic-fit-2026-09-12.md
and docs/store/2026-09-19-alpha27-release.md for evidence and delivery status.
No playback tests ran while the user used Focusrite.

Song chord recognition is unchanged. Rejected chord experiments and neural
models are not included; arbitrary-song transcription is not guaranteed.

The APK is debug-signed for direct testing and is not the Google Play bundle.
Use the attached SHA-256 file to verify the download. The app has no ads,
accounts, analytics, tracking, Internet permission, or advertising ID.

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.26

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Sep 16:49
4793595

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.26 testing build.

  • Fix a Notes-mode decoding shortcut that could choose the wrong preceding note.
  • Search every prior pitch using the unchanged acoustic scores and transition costs.
  • Preserve the alpha25 fix for invented notes during silent song passages.
  • Leave chord recognition, tuner capture, feedback rejection, UI, permissions, and dependencies unchanged.

The transition regression fails on the preceding build and passes with this fix.
Checks cover 305 local tests and 16 silent Huawei checks, including an imported
WAV melody followed by silence and a 30-minute note-timeline workload.
Exact decoding takes about 2.9 seconds for that workload on the Android 10
test phone. This measures the decoder only, not total song analysis.
See docs/store/2026-09-12-alpha26-release.md for evidence and delivery status.
No playback tests ran while the user used Focusrite.

The hardest low-SNR decay test is still below target. Song recognition can still
misidentify dense or ambiguous music. Experimental neural models and rejected
adaptive/spectral fallbacks are not included. Retune and stale-confirmation
regressions run the actual detector, tracker, and tuner engine on deterministic
PCM. They are not recordings of an unplugged guitar through a phone microphone.

The APK is debug-signed for direct testing and is not the Google Play bundle.
Use the attached SHA-256 file to verify the download. The app has no ads,
accounts, analytics, tracking, Internet permission, or advertising ID.

Pre-release

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Sep 15:18
8c50a15

Intoniva v0.3.0-alpha.25 testing build.

  • Stop numerical averaging residue from producing sustained notes after song audio becomes silent.
  • Sum each short feature window directly in Double precision, with no new input threshold.
  • Preserve recorded chord labels and timing across all 48 frozen recording/gain cases.
  • Keep the tuner, feedback rejection, UI, microphone input, permissions, and dependencies unchanged.

Checks: 304 local tests, lint, APK/bundle builds, and package/manifest verification.
Huawei passed 13 silent analysis/audio checks, plus an isolated repeat of the
new regression. No playback tests ran while the user was using Focusrite.
The new regressions fail on the preceding implementation, which invents an
eight-second C2 note at confidence 0.82 during digital silence.
See docs/song-feature-stability-2026-09-12.md for the cause and evidence.
