Backup copy of the ffmpeg command-line tools that OpenShelf installs from Settings → Extra Formats. OpenShelf only uses it when the original download server isn't responding.

  • Builds: ffmpeg 9.0.2 and ffprobe 9.0.2 for Apple silicon (arm64) and Intel (amd64), built and signed by Martin Riedl (Developer ID team KU3N25YGLU). The zips are unmodified copies of the originals, and each .sha256 matches the checksum the original server publishes.
  • Verification: before anything runs, OpenShelf checks both the checksum and the Apple code signature against that team, so a modified file is rejected no matter where it was downloaded from.
  • Licence: FFmpeg is free software under the LGPL/GPL. The exact source code for this version is attached (ffmpeg-9.0.2.tar.xz, with its .asc signature from ffmpeg.org) and is also available at https://ffmpeg.org/releases/.
