New features

  • Adds support for iOS and macOS targets: iosArm64, iosSimulatorArm64, iosX64, macosArm64, macosX64.
    On iOS, you will need to initialize the Audio Session before you can use text-to-speech. This library provides a helper method:
    AudioSession.initialiseForTextToSpeech()
    Or call the methods setCategory and setActive on AVAudioSession yourself. See the full example in the compose demo project.

Other changes

  • This project used custom target names like browserJs, browserWasm and desktop. Those targets have been renamed to the official names: js, wasmJs and jvm. The common browser target for js + wasmJs has been renamed to webCommonW3C.
  • Some internal changes to the text-to-speech handling. Some logic has been moved from platform-specific targets into the common target.
  • The Android XML demo project has been merged into the compose demo project. The XML demo now showcases MVVM and DI with Koin.
  • Improvements to the Gradle configuration of the project.
