First OLED Edition release on the v0.6.0 firmware base. Rebased onto upstream awalol/DS5Dongle v0.6.0-hotfix with every OLED Edition feature preserved.

What's new on the rebase

  • Adopts upstream's new state_mgr refactor for controller state + audio packet construction (replaces our local speaker / HD-haptic fix with the proper architectural one).
  • Restores the per-board USB serial number that upstream removed in e79c762 — fixes awalol/DS5Dongle#100 ("dongle treated as new device per USB port on Windows"). Trade-off: re-introduces the SpecialK incompat (#32).

OLED Edition features (requires Waveshare Pico-OLED-1.3)

  • 10 OLED screens — Status, Slots, Lightbar Color Picker, Trigger Test, Gyro, Touchpad, Diagnostics, RSSI, VU Meters, Settings
  • 4-slot persistent multi-controller pairing
  • Audio Auto Haptics — derives rumble from speaker audio for games without native HD-haptic data. Modes: `Off` / `Fallback` / `Mix` / `Replace`
  • Lightbar Color Picker with tilt-to-RGB, 4 user favorites, 3 effect presets
  • On-device Settings menu — tune every config field without a host
  • Brightness control + auto-dim + two soft-reboot recovery paths (KEY0 double-click, DS5 PS+Mute hold-2s)

Live OLED emulator, WebHID device control, 7 languages. No OLED hardware required to preview.

Install

  1. Download `ds5-bridge-oled-v0.6.0-oled-edition.uf2` from the assets below.
  2. Hold BOOTSEL on the Pico 2 W and plug it into USB — it mounts as `RP2350`.
  3. Copy the UF2 to the mount; the Pico auto-reboots into the new firmware.

The `-debug-` variant has USB-CDC stdio + verbose BT/HID logging enabled.
