DriftPaper v1.3.4
DriftPaper now includes three new animation modes:
- Flowing Silk — soft illuminated folds driven by layered noise.
- Ink in Water — colored pigment carried through the fluid simulation.
- Living Topography — animated elevation contours.
Choose a mode from Animation in the macOS menu bar or Windows system tray. Animation Speed offers Slow, Normal, and Fast independently of frame rate. Mode and speed are saved across launches, and switching modes preserves your palette and other controls. Existing installations continue to default to Drift.
Silk and Topography skip fluid solving and line placement. Ink uses bounded GPU dye textures that are released when leaving the mode. All modes retain multi-display support, brightness controls, and pause behavior during sleep or lock.
For windowed previews, use --windowed --animation silk, --animation ink, or --animation topography, optionally with --speed slow.
macOS downloads support both Apple Silicon and Intel and are Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. Windows is available as a ZIP download.
