Подробно — в CONTRIBUTING.md.
English
A second language. ZeroNote now speaks English too — the whole window, messages, settings samples and the installer.
The language is chosen automatically: Russian if Russian is in the Windows language list, English otherwise. To change it — “Interface language” in the settings, then the restart button next to it. In settings.toml it is [appearance] language: "auto", "ru", "en" or the code of your own translation.
Your own translation — one file, no build. “New translation…” in the settings creates data/l10n/<code>.json — the string table; all that's left is to translate it. Whatever the file lacks is shown in English; an entry with the wrong placeholders is skipped and named in the warning bar. Details — in CONTRIBUTING.md.
The palette finds commands by their English names too: >save in the Russian window finds «
Dates follow the language. Months and weekdays in the calendar and “5 minutes ago” in the recent list are in the interface language; the first day of the week comes from the Windows regional settings.
Today's daily note is called Note <date> in the English window. The calendar and “Today's daily note” recognise the day's note in either language, so switching the language won't create a second one for the same day.
The installer speaks the language of Windows and writes file type names for File Explorer in it.
The project page has been redone, and the README is available in English.
The installer grew by 122 KB — the string tables for both languages and the settings samples; no new dependencies. Startup and typing are as in 0.20.0, measured side by side within the same hour.
Rolling back to 0.20.0. It reads the session, settings and index as they are. If the language is set explicitly, 0.20.0 names the language key as unknown and applies the rest. Note <date> notes are ordinary files to it: its calendar won't mark them.
The full write-up is in DESIGN.md (in Russian), sections 50 and 51.
