v0.3.49
- Sessions: keep separate sets of repos, like Work and Hobby, and switch between them. Click "Workfolder" at the top of the sidebar (or use the command palette) to make one or switch. Leaving a session saves the repos showing and closes the open terminals; the one you open comes back as you left it. A repo can be in several sessions. Once you use sessions, Nimbus opens on the session you left instead of starting empty.
- Screenshots on UI pull requests: when Claude opens a PR that changes what you see, it now captures the changed screens and puts them in the PR description. The images go on a
pr-screenshotsbranch in the repo, so nothing lands in main. - A leaner report: Claude no longer writes a report at the start of every task. Quick work gets none; work of several steps gets a title, a one-line summary and the tasks, with questions and decisions only when there is one for you. Ask for a full report when you want one.
v0.3.48
- Switching to main fetches: when you switch a repo to main, Nimbus now fetches from the remote right after, so the ahead/behind counts are current without waiting for the next background fetch. The same goes for "switch all to main" when pull is off. It only fetches; main is not moved.
v0.3.47
- Writing projects: the Text tab now shows only what changed: the changed paragraphs, the heading each sits under, and a ⋯ where text is skipped. The dimmed unchanged text is gone; a new file still shows in full.
- Writing projects: Claude's reasons sit beside the changes. In a margin to the right of the text, a note says why a passage was changed and why the new wording is better, or why a new text was written. Claude writes the notes as it revises. Applies to writing projects created from now on; in an existing one, ask Claude once to keep
"notes"in.nimbus-project.json.
v0.3.46
- Writing projects: a third kind of project, next to Phases and Experiment, for texts meant to be read: documentation, a guide, an article, the pages of a frontend. Its page shows how the text changed word by word, like tracked changes: everything against main, or step by step through the commits, with what isn't committed yet as the last step. It covers Markdown and other plain text files (md, mdx, txt, rst, adoc, tex) unless the text lives elsewhere; Claude asks you where when the project starts and Nimbus follows those files. Code changes stay in the Diff tab. The text is shown as written, not as rendered Markdown.
v0.3.45
- Workfolder report: Claude now starts the report as soon as it begins a task, together with its status, and keeps it current as the work goes. Before, it often left the report empty until you asked for it. Applies to Claude sessions started after the update.
v0.3.44
- Workfolder report: when Claude works in your repos outside a project, it now keeps a short report at the top of the workfolder home: what the work is, the tasks and how far they are, blockers, open questions, things to consider, what it decided and why, and next steps. It looks like a project's report without the phases, and stays until you clear it or restart Nimbus.
- Claude knows it is in Nimbus: every terminal Nimbus opens now marks itself, so a Claude with the Nimbus tools there is told to keep the status and the report up to date, alongside your own instructions. With the tools in your own Claude config, a
claudestarted outside Nimbus is no longer told it runs in Nimbus. - Project report: an unchecked task no longer shows its box broken over three lines. Applies to projects created from now on.
v0.3.43
- Workfolder home: the repo cards are gone, since the sidebar already shows the repos. With repos showing and no file open, the editor area now lists the uncommitted files across all repos (click one to open its diff) and each repo's last commit. The keyboard shortcuts sit below.
- Connections: Claude can tell you how the repos connect for the work at hand, for example that web calls an endpoint it is changing in api. The list shows at the top of the workfolder home until you clear it or restart Nimbus.
- Claude knows the Nimbus tools: a Claude started from Nimbus is now told what the tools are for and when to use them.
- Nimbus tools in every Claude: a button under Settings → Workfolder adds the tools to your own Claude config, so a
claudeyou type yourself has them too. Not inside the sandbox.
v0.3.42
- Workfolder overview: with repos showing and no file open, the editor area shows a card for each repo: its branch, whether it is ahead or behind, the last commit, how many files changed, and its stashes and terminals. Click a card to switch to that repo. The keyboard shortcuts sit below.
- Pop out new terminals: a new setting under Settings → Editor makes every new terminal open popped out over the app, in the next free cell, instead of docked at the bottom.
v0.3.41
- Sandbox: new terminals, and Claude in them, can open in a sandbox that sees the repos showing in Nimbus and not the rest of your computer, nor the repos in reserve. Turn it on in Settings → Workfolder; the footer shows when it is on. Claude signs in once more inside, and pushing goes through the source control panel since your SSH keys stay outside. Needs bubblewrap, which comes with WebKitGTK on Debian and Ubuntu.
- A repo added while a sandboxed Claude runs: Nimbus offers to restart that Claude so it sees the repo, picking its conversation up again.
- Reserve: a repo joins the workfolder by its arrow button, no longer by a click anywhere on its row.
- Terminal: programs that copy by themselves (vim, tmux and the like) now reach the clipboard.
v0.3.40
- Experiments: a new kind of project where Claude improves one number on its own. Pick a repo, the files it may edit, a command and how to read a metric from its output; Claude changes the code, runs it, keeps the commit when the number improves and undoes it when it doesn't. The project page charts every try. Start a project → Experiment.
- HTML-report projects can be created again: starting a project that reports to an HTML page failed with "not a project file".
- Scrollbars: the sidebar's scrollbar no longer shows over dialogs, and the thumb gets brighter while you drag it, not black.
