• Add workspace directories to Link dialog and selected-text Link picker
  suggestions, show a folder icon, and insert encoded document-relative paths
  with a trailing slash. Keep Image suggestions limited to image files and
  preserve the existing candidate ranking and interaction behavior.
• Include empty directories through one cached workspace.fs.readDirectory
  scan bounded by depth, directory count, entry count, and elapsed time; keep
  .git, node_modules, and enabled files.exclude patterns out of results.
• Use workspace.fs.stat to reveal directory links in the VS Code Explorer and
  continue opening file links with vscode.open.
• Match files.exclude with VS Code-compatible brace and character-class
  patterns, including conditional sibling rules, and skip directory discovery
  for image searches.
• Refresh workspace search results after external filesystem changes using a
  five-second cache lifetime while retaining immediate VS Code-operation
  invalidation.
