ESLifier v0.16.8
Add:
- Skyrim Data Folder scanning for Vortex (folder path automatically retrieved from Vortex's database)
- Automatic Instance population for MO2 and Vortex
- For MO2: If a MO2 Portable SSE instance is set up to handle NXM links ESLifier will find it and add it to a drop down and for any Global SSE instance in
AppData/Local/ModOrganizer/ESLifier will add all of them to the drop down. You can still manually enter or search via the explore button for instances ESLifier cannot find. (The "Instance" folder is a folder that holds a ModOrganizer.ini file with the gameName set to "Skyrim Special Edition".) - For Vortex: ESLifier simply finds
AppData/Roaming/Vortex/(Vortex uses this by default) andProgramData/Vortex/(Vortex uses this in shared mode) and determines if they are valid Vortex data folders (contain folders state.v2 and skyrimse) and adds them to the drop down. You can still manually enter or search via the explore button for non-standard Vortex instance locations (idk where else Vortex's data can be).
- For MO2: If a MO2 Portable SSE instance is set up to handle NXM links ESLifier will find it and add it to a drop down and for any Global SSE instance in
- Paths will now be highlighted red if the instance/path is invalid.
- Import/Export options to the context menus (right click on populated list).
- Export: Exports a list of all currently checked items in the relevant list to a file so that users with the same modlist can share it among themselves or you can back up your selections.
- Import: Lets the user select an exported list and check all items that exist both in the settings filtered list and the exported list. A warning is given for plugins that could not be checked.
- Exported file format: A JSON containing a list object. Each item is a case sensitive plugin name. Example contents: ["MajesticMountains_Landscape.esm", "Ash Pile Expiration.esp"]
Change:
- In Vortex Mode scanning, resetting, and rebuilding will first detect if the Vortex database is readable before any other actions are performed and warn you if you have forgotten to close Vortex.
- In Vortex Mode ESLifier will restore .vortex_backup files that are cleared from the output and exist in the Skyrim Data folder. This is because if you do not purge or disable the ESLifier output before rebuilding/resetting the output Vortex will not restore the relevant .vortex_backup files and the original is in essence "deleted" because only the backup exists and Skyrim will not read those files and ESLifier will not patch them. This behavior can be disabled in the settings.
- Minor optimization in plugin patching.
- If the filters result in no mods being displayed then the relevant list and filter will slightly flash red to indicate that they are empty (prevents the user from forgetting that they filtered and that is why the list is empty).
- Lock UI while blacklist editor is open.
- Small refactoring of left/right lists into a parent class.
Fix:
- An issue where if two mods have a copy of the same BSA then it was indeterminate which BSA would be extracted and patched. This now properly respects file conflicts.
Note:
- Releasing two versions of the program this time. One is the original standalone PyInstaller EXE which unpacks itself into a
AppData/Local/Temp/\_MEIxxxxxxdirectory during execution. The other is a "OneDir" PyInstaller EXE which includes an_internalfolder that holds all the files that the standalone would normally unpack into the temp folder, this second one shouldn't get hit by Microsoft's AV machine learning detection since it isn't all packed into a single EXE. So, if the normal ESLifier.zip is blocked the ESLifier_OneDir.zip should work. - Translations will need an update for changed/added text.
- Reuploaded ESLifier.zip twice because I forgot to remove some debug logging twice.
