Fate UI v0.4.1-beta1
Pre-release
Pre-release
This beta is a substantial update to agent workflows and the composer. It is still prerelease software, so keep a backup of important project work.
What changed
- Fate UI can now launch and manage subagents as separate sessions. You can choose their models, reasoning levels, tools, skills, retries, fallbacks, and permissions.
- The Agents inspector shows child transcripts, tool activity, usage, workflow state, and controls for steering, retargeting, follow-ups, renaming, stopping, and closing sessions.
- Agent handles now autocomplete with
@. Runtime, idle, turn, and budget limits report back to the parent instead of silently stopping the child. - Project files and folders now autocomplete with
#. Folder tags include nested files, while quoted tags handle paths containing spaces. - Unfinished messages now stay with the project and session where they were written. Switching sessions no longer flashes text from another draft or loses the current one.
- Fixed a caret timing bug that could insert an agent or project tag in the wrong place.
- Cleaned up the Diff and History switch in the Git panel.
