Warning
This will likely be the final release of Skript-1.8, as I have myself given up on maintaining anything for Minecraft 1.8. Furthermore, the gap between this fork and the official version of Skript has grown so wide that keeping the fork up to date would require rewriting the whole parts that are mandatory for the plugin to barely load with Minecraft 1.8. I tried doing this for Skript v2.7 and quickly gave up due to the overwhelming complexity of changes that I would have to make, compared to the little free time I had. That being said, I might try to push a few easy fixes and will edit the file uploaded in this release to avoid creating another one, but this is not likely to happen.
Welcome to this new release of Skript-1.8 after approximately 93 years !
A few aliases were fixed in this release :
An issue related to the LivingEntity#setAI method, which doesn't exist in 1.8, was also fixed.
Important
This is a note for developers who are still owning servers on Minecraft 1.8. I myself have kept supporting this version for a few years now. However, it turned 11 years old a few months ago. One has quite a few reasons to believe the main reason the community didn't update to Minecraft 1.9 and further was the new combat system, which wasn't compatible with the way most PvP mini-games functioned back then. Mojang probably messed up there and could have added a single gamerule to give players a choice. One could argue that even Hypixel, the server with the biggest community, has a consistent player base using Minecraft 1.8 because of most of the PvP mini-games. But that's how it is now. It really might be time to move on. So many things were added in the latest versions that can bring renewal and great features to your projects, and not migrating right now would make migrating later (because it's just going to happen at some point, except for a few small servers centered around combat) just more painful, especially with a large legacy codebase that uses NMS extensively (cough).
