@Matozanato Matozanato released this 21 Oct 19:04

Mod Studio 0.2.4.2 — one fix

0.2.4.2 fixes one bug of 0.2.4 and 0.2.4.1: no promotion or relegation below the second division
in big worlds
(B186). Worlds and careers carry on as they are: there is nothing to Build again.

Update if you play the Europack (eu4) or a world of your own with many lower divisions. If
promotion and relegation work in your world, 0.2.4.1 is fine and you don't have to update.
If you hit a problem, tell us on Discord with a screenshot and
SiderAddons\sider.log.

NewLife 1.5b7, Worldpack r12 and Europack eu4 stay the same: links in the
0.2.4 release.

How to update

Help > Check for updates... installs it, or close Mod Studio and unzip over the old folder
(replace all). Open it and press Install now on Home: that puts the new module in the game.

Fixed

  • No promotion or relegation below the second division in big worlds (B186). Mod Studio's module
for the league pairs the game itself does not move took at most 8 of them, and a world with more
had all of them refused (fl26chain: install FAILED (status 9) in sider.log). The Europack eu4
has 10, so Primera Federación, Serie C, League One, 3. Liga, National League, French National and
the rest kept the same clubs every season. It takes 32 pairs now. In a career already going, it
works from the next season end; seasons already played stay as they were. (Thanks Ibiss K.B. and
    Rosev)

Tested in the game on the Europack eu4: a full season and the new one, with the clubs moved in all
10 pairs (for example Oxford, Leicester and Wigan up to the Championship; Millwall, West Brom and
Bristol City down to League One), the same after save, restart and load.

Full list: changelog-0.2.4.2.

Not fixed yet

  • CAF / AFC group cups have no knockout from the second season (B172) on worlds with group cups of
their own (the Worldpack). The fix comes with 0.2.5.

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 20 Oct 21:02

Mod Studio 0.2.4.1 — fixes

0.2.4.1 fixes what you reported since 0.2.4: kits, Make it editable, Import crests, the Players
page's rating, the AFC Champions League Two, the game closing on Group stage, and more.

You don't have to update. If 0.2.4 works for you and none of the fixes below is something you
are waiting for, stay on it. 0.2.4.1 was tested in the closed beta, but problems are still possible.
If you hit one, tell us on Discord with a screenshot and

How to update

Help > Check for updates... installs it, or close Mod Studio and unzip over the old folder
(replace all). Open it and press Install now on Home (the modules changed). Your 0.2.4 worlds keep
working: Build them once with 0.2.4.1, and careers carry on.

In short

  • Kits: kits on FL26 1.0 without the game's updates (B153), with your own tables (B143), with a
kits.lua that reads content\kit-server (B165), and Modpack/Europack kits lost at Switch on with
    SPFL26's kits.lua (B158).
  • Make it editable keeps the leagues you added to a zip world (B146), and Europack/Modpack
worlds made editable build again (B159).
  • The game closed on Database > Competition Info > Group stage of a world's group cup (B171).
  • AFC Champions League Two is played from the second season too (B160); the game's Club World
Cup gets its fourth club (B149); no more Lyon v Lyon in a round of 16 (B121).
  • Players page: the rating is the game's own (B53); keepers get keepers' numbers (B156, B157).
  • Import crests: the club's country counts, and Match to can pick one league (B139, B144).
  • Clear messages when a world is out of competition ids or player ids (B154, B161); Remove/Edit
work again after a league rename (B161); Restore points can free a deleted world's disk space (B131).
  • A short Ko-fi reminder once per version (never required).

Full list: changelog-0.2.4.1.

Not fixed yet

  • CAF / AFC group cups have no knockout from the second season (B172) on worlds with group cups of
their own (the Worldpack). It was already so in 0.2.4; we are on it.

About the two packs: Worldpack and Europack are our own test and showcase worlds, built to test
Mod Studio. We won't maintain them and won't fix small things in them (a name, a rating, a missing
crest); our focus is Mod Studio. Play them as they are, or use them as a base for your own:
My world > Make it editable..., change what you want, Build and install
(Help > Edit a Modpack, step by step shows every click).

How to update

From 0.2.2 / 0.2.3: Help > Check for updates... installs it, or close Mod Studio and unzip over the
old folder (replace all). Open it and press Install now on Home. Your world and your 0.2.2 / 0.2.3
career keep working. A pack: My world > + Add..., pick the zip (don't unzip it), Install the
world
, then start a new Master League. NewLife: unzip it once, then My world > NewLife
Database > Open NewLife Database...
and pick the NewLife-1.5b7 folder.

In short

  • A new look, with My world: every world as a card, put in the game with one click, Export,
Rename, Delete. Each world keeps its own Master League careers.
  • Ready worlds install from their zip in one click; a newer version replaces the older one.
Build is switched off while a ready world is on, until you press Make it editable...
  • Help: a quick tour at the first start, Install a Modpack, step by step and Edit a
    Modpack, step by step
    .
  • Faster Build: you see how far it is, and a new logo or crest no longer rebuilds the whole world.
  • Put Sider back as before Mod Studio in one click; no more copies next to your files.
  • NewLife 1.5b7: ratings on the game's own scale, lower leagues below the top ones, the game's
players keep their own skills, no more women's players.
  • Fixes: the goalkeeper as every club's captain, the crest on the shorts of drawn kits, Import
crests and national teams, kits not worn with Plain kits, cups and calendars of Feb-Dec and
calendar-year leagues, a saved cup in Cup mode, the FL26 2.2 update's tables, menus half in
English in other languages, and more.

Split and Apertura/Clausura leagues are marked experimental.

Everything, item by item: changelog-0.2.4.

FL26 Mod Studio 0.2.3

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 13 Oct 19:34

What's new in Mod Studio 0.2.3

0.2.3 is a quick fix for 0.2.2, out the same evening.

Fixed

  • Mod Studio closed during Build, with no message. Some of the builder's checks stop the
Build with a message of their own; in 0.2.2 that message took the whole program down instead
of showing up. Build now stops with the message in a window, so you see what to change (or
    can send it to us).
  • Build stopped with "FL_2026.exe not found at C:\Football Life 2026". With the game in any
other folder, Build read the game's cup dates from the default folder instead of the one in
Settings, and stopped there (in 0.2.2 this closed the program). The builder now uses the game
folder from Settings for everything it reads from the game, and if the cup dates still cannot
be read, Build goes on without them instead of stopping.
  • A crash now leaves a note. If Mod Studio still closes on its own, it writes where it was
to %APPDATA%\FL26ModStudio\crash.log. Send that file with your sider.log.

Read this first

  • Everything in 0.2.2 still applies: Install the modules, Build once,
start a new career. 0.2.3 changes nothing in the game's modules, only the program.
  • 0.2.2 was a big update and more bugs can still turn up. If Build stops with a message, post
it in #support on Discord or open a GitHub issue, with sider.log.

FL26 Mod Studio 0.2.2

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 13 Oct 18:22

What's new in Mod Studio 0.2.2

0.2.2 is the big fix update promised with 0.2.1, and it raises the limits: bigger worlds,
more leagues and more clubs.

Read this first

  • Careers saved before 0.2.2 do not load (the game stays on the loading screen). Start a
new career after Build. Your recipe and your world carry over.
  • Install the modules (Install page, or Build and install does it), then Build once: the
new limits need the new modules and a world built with them.
  • Not checked in the game yet: see the end of this page.
  • NewLife 1.5 and the FL26 Modpack come a little later, each with its own post and its own
list of changes. NewLife 1.5 brings this summer's transfers (about 10,000 players at a new
club, about 3,300 new players) and ratings below 50 for the weakest leagues; the Modpack is
our 0.2.2 test world (86 leagues, 1,294 new clubs, their kits and 3D faces) built on it, as
one zip for Install mods. Mod Studio 0.2.2 works with NewLife 1.4.2 until then.

Bigger worlds

  • Raised limits. 2,400 clubs in a world (1,536 before), 3,400 coaches, 61,905 players
(new clubs get 22-man squads), 255 competitions a season (127 before), 128 menu regions and
250 Select Team slots, so a league past the game's free ids is still selectable and can
start a career. Our test world plays 86 new leagues with 1,294 new clubs. New modules:
    fl26appcap, fl26regs600, fl26slots250, fl26slot7, fl26regfast, fl26walk,
    fl26hdr255 (replaces fl26hdr127/fl26hdr192), fl26reg128 (replaces fl26reg64).
Build installs them. Careers saved before 0.2.2 do not load: the game stays on the
loading screen with no message and has to be closed (Task Manager). Start a new career after
Build, and keep your old Mod Studio folder to finish an old one. Your recipe and world carry
over. A world now holds up to 97 new leagues (75 before):
past the game's free ids a league takes a regulation id from 254 down to 197 (255 stays
out, it means "no league" in places; 196 and below belong to split seasons and the European
play-offs). The game's date stub knows ids up to 255, so 97 is this layout's ceiling; cups
are not counted, they take ids above 255. Competition ids are the tighter budget: 121 for
leagues and cups together (130-255 less the game's five).
  • A Build keeps the ids of leagues already built. Adding a league in front of others,
removing one or changing the order used to give every league after it new competition,
regulation, region and club ids, so a Kit Server map, the scoreboard map and faces lost
them. Now each league keeps its competition id, regulation id, region, club ids and its
cups' ids from the last Build; only a new (or renamed) league gets new ones.
  • Faster Master League creation with a club of a new league: fl26regfast drops two
repeated searches of the regulation table, and fl26walk remembers your club and its league
while the game walks the calendar (a Druga NL career sat 5-10 minutes on the loading screen).
  • Promotion arrows in the standings on every tier with a league above it (the game drew
them on the second tier only, and hid the down arrows while doing it).
  • The end-of-season Promotion/Relegation screen lists the clubs promoted from the third tier
or deeper too (the upper column of a Prva NL / Druga NL pair was empty: the game counted
only a second-division club as promoted).
  • The season's match table holds 65,000 matches (46,000 before), and players' looks
(PlayerAppearance) 65,000 records instead of 30,024, so big databases keep every face.
  • New leagues never get a competition id below 130 (those caused conflicts).
  • A NewLife league's clubs the game already has get the NewLife squad too. Until now
only the league's new clubs did, and a club of the game in it (Dinamo, Hajduk, Legia,
Basel...) kept the game's own players, so a player NewLife had moved was still at his old
club. Update my leagues to this version gives those squads again; Remove league takes
them away. Bring the game's leagues to this season, done again on a recipe that lost the
record of the first time, now takes the old squads away before giving the new ones (their
players counted as taken, and most of the new squad "stayed").

Small additions (asked for on Discord)

  • Competition Info: the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League league phase is
one table of 36 that scrolls, instead of four pages of nine (Return no longer covers row 9).
    Made by DavidBDJ.

  • A February-December league (season "calendar") can have its national cup and super cup:
the cup plays through the league's own year, the super cup opens it. Made by vmardonesdev
    (GitHub #139).

  • Export the world takes the world's kits and scoreboards too (Kit Server and Scoreboard
Server, with their map lines); before, the receiver got the world without its kits. Install
mods puts the kits where the receiver's Kit Server reads them. A club wearing a kit from
another pack (SPFL26's Other Europe, a modpack) takes a copy of it along.

  • League: a name field for the super cup, beside the national cup's and the league cup's
(empty = the league's name + Super Cup).

  • Closing Mod Studio with recipe changes not saved asks whether to save them (they were lost
without a word; a recipe never saved goes to the copy the next start opens).

  • The clubs of a new league, and of a league of the game a new club joins, are listed A-Z in
Select Team and Edit (FC, AC, SC ... left out, so FC Augsburg sits under A). The game's own
    leagues keep their order.

  • Mod Studio in Português (Brasil) (Language menu).

  • Players: the squad list can be dragged taller on a short window (the pitch under it held it
    still).

  • Leagues > More > Competition IDs: every league and cup with its competition id and
regulation ids, from the world switched on, with a button that copies the list.

  • Build: "Faces from the regen face pack for new players". Off keeps
the look the game gives new players, or the one set in the game's Edit mode.

Easier to use (from the poll)

  • Competition Info: every European qualifying round has its own item (2nd and 3rd
qualifying round, play-off round), so you can open each and see who plays whom; before, all
of them sat under one "Play-offs" item that only showed the current round. The February
play-off for places 9-24 is named "Knockout round play-offs", "Round of 32" / "First knockout
round" read "Round of 16", and the Conference League shows its knockouts as a list of ties
like the Champions and Europa League.
  • File > Changes in this world: everything your recipe changes in one list (clubs of the
game, leagues, competitions, swaps, squads), and Undo for the lines you pick.
  • The status bar says whether your changes are saved; click it, or Ctrl+S, to save. Edits
of clubs, players and leagues count straight away, there is no Apply to press.
  • Build > New clubs: the two kit options say which is which. "Kits made in the clubs'
colours" comes first; "Plain kits to change in Edit mode" is the alternative and greys the
first out, since Kit Server does not dress the clubs then.

Fixes

  • 20-40 minutes on the loading screen at the end of January (the winter transfer deadline)
in a big world. On that day the game rates every player's club against every league and
asked the same competition question again for each of the 61,905 players. The new module
fl26compcache keeps each answer for the length of one pass: on our test world day 30 now
takes under a minute. Build installs it.
  • "Create Edit Data" went back to the menu and made no Edit save in a big world (reported
on Discord: three leagues of ours worked, the fourth did not). The first save puts every club
in, and every club's manager with it, but the game's managers table has room for 1300 and our
test world has 1976. The check the game runs before saving then finds clubs whose manager is
missing and gives up. fl26edit now gives the managers table room for 4096 too; the managers
past the game's 1299 go to EDIT00000000.fl26x with the clubs past 749 (sider.log:
    fl26edit: save: 1955 / 1955 / 1955 clubs, 1976 managers ...). A .fl26x written by 0.2.1
    still loads.
  • No Europa League round of 16 in the second season (the play-off was played, then the
competition ended). Around the play-off draw the game already opens the Europa League's next
season, and from then on it shows the league phase table of that season, still empty, so the
play-off winners had no one to meet. fl26swiss now takes the league phase table of the
season that was played when the newest one is empty (sider.log says the latest season's table has 0 rows; season 2026's table (36 rows) is used).
  • The calendar stops on a day and shows nothing (national team days, awards and other
events, GitHub #70, #132). Since 0.2.0 a calendar day holds more matches, and one place in
the game that reads the day's events still looked at the old spot. fl26caps.lua now
moves that read too (sider.log says 3510 patches; the last six sites were found by
nissindiaz, GitHub #135). National team matches that were
skipped are expected to come back with it.
  • A January-December league in a country with no league of the game never started
(Norway and Sweden in the modpack, GitHub #124). Nothing closed its season at New Year, so
in February it still counted as playing. It now closes with the game's New Year leagues,
and on the registration day a league whose old rounds have no match left starts its new
season (the close kept those rounds, so the second season never came).
  • Copa Sudamericana and Libertadores could share a club in a first season while the next
club in the league got neither (GitHub #132: Alianza Lima). Both cups now count a league's
places the same way, and a club with a Libertadores place does not take a Sudameric...

FL26 Mod Studio 0.2.1 (interim update)

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 10 Oct 03:31

What's new in Mod Studio 0.2.1

0.2.1 is a quick interim update. Its main job is to fix the Master League / Be a Legend
crash that came with the 0.2.0 package. A bigger fix update (the calendar, January-December
leagues joining their season, the Conference League knockout and more) comes later.

Read this first

  • The crash when you create a Master League or a Be a Legend career is fixed. The 0.2.0
package carried an old fl26caps.lua (sider.log says 3520 patches). Install the modules
(Install page, or Build does it) and sider.log says 3502 patches. If you already put the
fixed file from Discord in, you have the same file.
  • Your worlds and careers made with 0.2.0 stay as they are. No new Build is needed for the fix.

Fixes

  • Master League / Be a Legend creation crash (the old fl26caps.lua, GitHub #122, #125).
  • A world with only cups (no leagues of its own, no changes to the game's leagues) builds
again instead of stopping with no Player.bin.
  • A split or Apertura/Clausura league no longer takes the regulation whose Select Team slot is
    the Copa Libertadores'.
  • A recipe made on another PC: a crest, logo or flag picture that is not on this PC no longer
stops Build. The club gets the drawn badge and Build log says which picture was missing.
  • Mod Studio no longer crashes at start when a .bin in the tables folder is not one of the
game's tables (a patch's files copied over them). It says so and you can pick the tables
    again in Settings.
  • An older league package with an empty "exchange" field no longer stops Check the plan.

New in packages and kits

  • Add a package: take only what you want. A package of several leagues lists them ticked,
untick the ones you don't want. Under "What to take" untick parts too (squads, faces, crests,
managers, kit colours, kits, scoreboards, stadiums), e.g. to take only the scoreboards from
one package and the squads from another. This works for the FL26 Modpack too.
  • League packages carry Kit Server kits and Scoreboard Server scoreboards. Both are
ticked in Make a package and can be unticked. Kits and scoreboards make a package bigger
(about 10 MB of kits and 7 MB of scoreboards a league), so it can go over Discord's limit.
  • Kits for new clubs. New clubs without kits of their own get home, away, third and
goalkeeper kits made from their colours and crest (Build page: "Make kits for the new
    clubs", on by default).
  • A partial database (a mod's pesdb with only Team.bin/Player.bin) can be picked in
Settings: its files go over the game's unpacked tables.
  • Settings explains better what the game's tables are for and when to use another folder.

FL26 Mod Studio 0.2.0 (beta)

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 08 Oct 22:14

Download FL26ModStudio-0.2.0.zip, unzip the whole folder and run FL26ModStudio.exe. This is a beta. Mod Studio 0.1.1 or later can also update itself (Help > Check for updates).

After updating: install the modules (Install page, or Build and install). Careers from older versions do not load in 0.2.0, start a new Master League career (see below).

0.2.0 is the last release with new features. From here on Mod Studio only gets bug fixes,
about once a week. If you want to take it further, fork it: 0.2.0 comes with complete
documentation for forks
, from forking.md through the chapters in
docs/fork/ (code map, every recipe key, the world file, every module and DLL, building,
testing, the NewLife release format). The code is MIT licensed.

Read this first

  • A calendar day now holds 792 matches instead of 280. Big worlds no longer lose matches
    on busy days.
  • Careers saved with an older version do not load in 0.2.0 (they stay on the loading
screen). The bigger day changes how a career is saved, so start a new Master League career
after updating. Keep your old Mod Studio folder if you want to finish an old career.
  • Your worlds stay as they are. No new Build is needed for the 792 limit. Install the
modules (Install page, or Build does it) so the new patch set and modules are in.
  • An old EDIT00000000 save from before your last Build still hides clubs that Build added since
(Other European among them). Build warns about it. Delete or rename the old save so the game
    makes a new one.

Honestly: what we tested and what we did not

We are putting 0.2.0 out a little early, on purpose: so the whole community can test it, on many
more PCs and in longer Master League runs than we can manage ourselves. On our side most of it
works, but not everything has been played yet. This is where things stand.

Tested by us, in the game:

  • 792 matches a day: a new career played through a whole season, including days with more than
    280 matches, with no crash.
  • The league cups: the Carabao Cup with its 44 clubs, the first rounds played on their dates.
  • The national cup in September, and the gaps between matches (no clashes in the first months).
  • Starting elevens: goalkeepers in goal and the right formation (checked on Manchester United
    and Chelsea in Kick Off).

Not tested yet, this is where we need you:

  • A second season: the rollover, the new real calendar and the European qualifying again.
  • The European qualifying rounds over a whole August: the round names in Competition Info,
no clash with league matches, two clear days around every European match.
  • Followers and money of new clubs (small clubs should now have small numbers).
  • The Libertadores places of February-December leagues (#119): the fix needs a full year to show.
  • The crash when unticking clubs on the NewLife page (#120): we could not make it happen here, so
the fix is our best guess.
  • The new continental cups (CONCACAF Champions Cup, OFC Champions League, AFC Challenge League)
and cup winners going to them, over a full season.
  • Seasons of the game's leagues (experimental), the seeded country cup draws and the board
objectives by continent in a long career.
  • Export the world on another PC: the install side was run on a clean copy, not yet played in the
    game on a second PC.

What to test is also in #test-requests on the Discord. Send what you find (sider.log and a
screenshot) on GitHub or in #issues.

The big one: 792 matches a day

Until now a day in the game's calendar had room for 280 matches. A world with many leagues
put more than that on some weekends and the extra matches were never played (in a 34-league
world, about 1,000 matches a season).

  • The patch set is now ...-fixtures-calendar (3,519 patches). Each day has room for 792
matches. Tested with a new career through a whole season, including days with more than 280
    matches, with no crash.
  • On top of that, the league rounds are spread out:
    • only leagues that send clubs to Europe keep clear of the European days;
    • every league's rounds lean 0-2 days later, so the whole world does not play on the same
      Saturday;
    • the game's own leagues (Bundesliga, Super Lig, Pro League ...) are spaced as well. Before,
      they were never moved and some played on the January Champions League day;
    • national cup days block two days instead of three;
    • a league round next to a European day moves a day clear when it has to (18 and 20 club
      leagues no longer play the day after the January Champions League matchday);
    • the August European play-offs move three days clear of the national cups' first round.
  • In our 34-league test world the spreading alone brought the matches that never got a day
from 1,078 to 2 out of 14,400. With room for 792 a day, even the busiest days fit.

New

Continental cups

  • CONCACAF Champions Cup: a knockout of 16 clubs; MLS fills the places.
  • OFC Champions League.
  • AFC Challenge League, next to the AFC Champions League and ACL Two. The J1 League's
11th-14th go there, and the CSL and Saudi places come after ACL Two.
  • National cup winners can go to our continental cups. If the cup winner already has a
place through its league, the place falls back to the league: the next free position, after
the places other competitions take (#95).
  • Up to 16 continental cups in a world (8 before).
  • The game's own Club World Cup: our continental champion replaces a club from its own
    confederation.

Leagues and seasons

  • League order (League Builder page): the order of the countries in Master League's Select Team and
in the Kick Off / Edit team list. Choose By continent (the game's order), Every country
    A-Z
    , or your own order.
  • Seasons of the game's leagues (League Builder page, experimental): Japan, China, Brazil, Chile
and Saudi Arabia can play August to May like Europe. Their cups are dated to match, and a
division below follows its top flight.
  • League cups are played like the real ones: the Carabao Cup and every league cup of a
new or a game league is now the top division and the one below, up to 44 clubs, one match a
round on the Carabao Cup's weeks (27 August, 23 September, 28 October, 23 December, 14
January, the final on Sunday 15 March; a February-December league: late September to
December), the semi-final and the final too. The top division's
clubs get the byes into the second round, every tie is drawn at random, and the cup has its
own midweek days, never on a national cup or European day. No more pre-round. Build the world
again and start a new career to get it; an older world or career keeps the old cup.
  • Real season calendars: every league plays on its real dates, every season. The first
and the last round fall where the real league's do (the HNL from the end of July to late May,
Norway and Sweden from late March to November, the Premier League in mid-August), with the
real winter break (the HNL from Christmas to February, Montenegro's long one), and the rounds
go on the league's own weekdays (weekends; Fridays for Kosovo), on the real weekday of each
year. A league whose clubs play in Europe keeps two clear days from every Champions League,
Europa League and Conference League day, the qualifying rounds included (Thursday in Europe,
Sunday in the league), and it never plays on a national cup day. The dates come from a table of the real
calendars of every country, by division, and from the confederation's for any other league; a
recipe can set its own (real_calendar). In a new career's first season a July league starts
on the first weekend after 5 August, the day the season is built. Every new career gets its
    calendar, also the second one in the same game session. An older world keeps the old calendar;
python tools/realcal.py <fl26world.txt> --write adds the calendars to it without a new
    Build.
  • Champions League knockouts on Wednesdays (and its play-off), like the real ones, so the
Tuesday and Thursday stay free for the leagues.
  • Qualifying rounds in midweek, one leg a week: the second qualifying round, the third and
the play-off take six weeks in a row, one leg a week, with the league's weekend round between
the legs (2025: 7/14 Aug, 20/27 Aug, 3/10 Sep), for all three competitions. Where the
play-off ends less than six days before the league phase, its first matchday is a week later
(2026: 22/23 September). The national cups' first round moves out of the qualifying weeks
to a Tuesday and Friday three days clear of every European day (2025: 23/26 September; the
game had it on 9/12 September).
  • Competition Info follows the qualifying: in August the Play-offs item opens the round in
play, named "2nd Qualifying Round", "3rd Qualifying Round" or "Play-offs" (also on the page
and in the schedule), for the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
  • Super cup without a cup winner: when there is no cup winner yet (a new career's first
summer), or the champion also won the cup, the league's runner-up plays. Before, Supercopa Rei
and the Chilean super cup did not start (only 1 of 2 clubs).
  • UEFA places for ranks 29-31: Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia get their real places
(champion: Champions League second qualifying round; cup winner, 2nd and 3rd: Conference League
second qualifying round). A qualifying round holds sixteen clubs, so with every rank in a world
the lowest ranks' places past the sixteen are left out, and the notes say which.
  • **Apertura/Clausura: the league below gets promotion and relegati...

FL26 Mod Studio 0.1.9 (beta)

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 06 Oct 21:49

Download FL26ModStudio-0.1.9.zip, unzip the whole folder and run FL26ModStudio.exe. This is a beta. Mod Studio 0.1.1 or later can also update itself (Help > Check for updates).

After updating: press Build and install on Home. It installs the new modules (fl26regen, fl26chain) and rebuilds your world. Your 0.1.8 world and your career keep working, no new career needed. A career started after the rebuild gets the national cup fix from its first season; a running career gets it from the next season.

0.1.9 is a fix release. The new features we talked about come in 0.2.0.

Fixed

  • Edit mode crashed with big face packs (#65): the game's appearance table holds 30,024 players and a pack with more ran past it. fl26regen.dll now loads only what fits, so Edit mode saves again.
  • A national cup with two divisions drew the top flight against itself: it now draws the top flight against the league below. Checked in the game with Copa Peru, 32 clubs over a whole season (thanks San Marino).
  • Build stopped with "a club has at most 40": a new club taking a moved club's places got the same id as a NewLife club, and both squads landed on one club. New ids now step round the NewLife ones (thanks rwee and capital030).
  • Kits for a custom database with lower club ids (#54): Build names the clubs it made, so Kit Server dresses the right ones.
  • A linked face changed the skin colour (#102): the face brings its body's skin colour, and new players get their pack face in 3D too.
  • "All stages" in Other content gets a line for every stage of the competition (thanks mauro).
  • A dragged league vanished from the Leagues list until restart: it now stays where you dropped it (thanks capital030).
  • Several leagues under one league of the game were refused, and a Serie C winner did not go up (#98).
  • NewLife added the game's own leagues as new ones; a club with only continental places keeps them (#82).
  • New clubs with no manager get a made-up name from their country (#91).
  • Build asks to unpack the game's tables again when the game was updated since the last time (#63).
  • Leagues list has # (order) and Select Team columns, and Check the plan notes a league name longer than 38 characters, which Kick Off cuts (#101).
  • Build page hints were cut off with Windows display scaling (thanks LaraCroft).

Known

  • The Conference League has no entrance scene of its own in the game, so it plays without one.
  • The squads of clubs in no league come out strong. Set the ratings in Players for now.
  • February-December seasons cannot yet be combined with a split, Apertura/Clausura or a cup.

Thanks to everyone who reported and tested: San Marino, rwee, capital030, mauro, LaraCroft, Gu, vmican, Thunder105 (the first supporter on Ko-fi) and everyone on Discord.

FL26 Mod Studio 0.1.8 (beta)

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 06 Oct 07:53

Download FL26ModStudio-0.1.8.zip, unzip the whole folder and run FL26ModStudio.exe. This is a beta. Mod Studio 0.1.1 or later can also update itself (Help > Check for updates).

After updating: press Build and install on Home (it installs the modules, builds the world and switches it on), then start a new career. A world built before 0.1.8 has to be built again (NewLife clubs got world ids of their own).

0.1.8 is the biggest release so far: every fix since 0.1.7 (0.1.7.2 never shipped on its own; its fixes are here), a new look, and the features asked for most.

A new Mod Studio

  • A new look: new palette, rounded controls, a shorter left bar, an icon for the window and the exe, and Windows display scaling followed exactly (the window no longer looks oddly sized).
  • Home shows the world that is live in the game, whether your recipe is built, and one button: Build and install. It installs the modules, builds, switches the world on and tells you what is left to do.
  • Starts on the world that is switched on in the game: the header names the live world, and Mod Studio opens its recipe. A world built without a kept recipe opens from the plan it carries instead of as an empty recipe.
  • One Leagues list: every league, the game's and yours, by continent, with game / ours / changed tags, search and filters (with counts), logos and crests, and the leagues above and below. Drag a league to change its order.
  • Remove several new leagues at once (Ctrl+click, Shift+click, Ctrl+A, Delete key).
  • Players: drag players onto the pitch (drop one place on another to swap), a pitch that is readable on wide screens, and a signing shows the shirt number Build will give him.
  • European places table: taller rows, a remove button on each row, the cup winner last; one European cups card on Build.
  • Home stadium picker from Stadium Server's whole library, by country and with a search.
  • Profiles say what goes off and on before switching, and ask first.
  • Lua modules page warns when CommonLib is missing for the modules that need it.
  • Clear messages instead of nothing happening when no club is picked (Edit club, Players, Swap leagues).

New

  • Edit mode keeps what you change on new clubs (#55): shirt numbers, formations, colours, a squad from a .ted file. The game's Edit save has room for 750 clubs; fl26edit.dll gives it room for 2048 and keeps the clubs past 749 in EDIT00000000.fl26x next to it.
  • Clubs in no league: one club, or a few, with no league around them (BATE Borisov on its own) in one of the game's groups: Other European teams, Other Latin American teams, Other Asia-Oceania teams, Other Africa teams or Classic Teams. Names, crests, kits, a manager and players like any new club (thanks LaraCroft).
  • First-season European clubs: pick by hand who plays the three European league phases in a new career's first season, January-league careers included (thanks AlexRufolo).
  • A real calendar: our leagues start in July, every league, the game's and ours, gets at least two free days between matches, and continental cups are played midweek.
  • Club World Cup: the world's continental champions go to it (#70).
  • Team of the Season for new leagues is no longer empty (#46, #86).
  • NewLife:
    • Update my leagues to this version: one step brings every NewLife league to a newer release, and keeps your names, formats, European places, cups, managers, crests, portraits and stadiums.
    • Bring the game's leagues to this season (and undo it): clubs that changed leagues swap, every club gets its release squad.
    • NewLife club... on New clubs puts NewLife clubs into a league you made by hand (#83); tick boxes in Add a club from another league, kept across searches (#83).
  • Crests and kits:
    • Import crests: a folder of pictures matched to clubs by name or team id (thanks Xxspedd).
    • Import kits: a folder of ready Kit Server kits for many clubs at once.
    • A third kit for every new club, and home and away kit colours in Edit club.
  • League packages without squads: crests, managers and stadiums onto leagues you already have, so they survive a NewLife update (thanks capital030). Choose what goes into a package.
  • A club of the game keeps its continental places when moved into a new league (#84).
  • Import CSV and squad tables read player ids: a player of another club is signed instead of being written over someone else (thanks JamesNotLike).
  • SPFL26's own stadium and scoreboard folders are found without the servers.

Fixed

  • Nobody went up or down between a split league and the league below it (#79, #81). Checked in the game with a split league of 20 and a second division of 18: the same three clubs swap in the season's table, the regular phase and the division below.
  • League rounds on European nights (#54): leagues with European places get dates that miss Europe (a reporter's world went from up to 10 clashes per league to 0-1).
  • A NewLife club kept an id the game cannot use for kits (#88, #90): it now has a world id of its own, pinned in the recipe, so a Kit Server map.txt keeps dressing the right club.
  • NewLife players appeared twice: a refused move now leaves the player out instead of copying him, and names like "K.Swiderski", "Kochalski Mateusz" or Polish and Croatian letters now match (thanks San Marino).
  • NewLife clubs with placeholder players: a club whose squad never reached it (CS Gloria Bistrita) is matched loosely and named in a note; stand-in players get real-sounding names and the club's level instead of 80+ (thanks Risto and I know?).
  • Free agents named FL P... after a Build (#96): the placeholder players a squad replaces are deleted.
  • Regens with someone else's name (a dozen Polish regens all called "Tahj"): imported players no longer tip a country to family-first names.
  • Regen faces cost less time in Game Plan (#64).
  • Build lost crests and pictures put in the world folder by hand (thanks Xxspedd).
  • Build warns of an old Edit save that hides the new squads in Exhibition and Edit mode, and offers to rename it aside.
  • A national cup of 33 to 43 clubs is cut to 32 (#95); the league cup pre-round plays on 21 September (#93) and its ties no longer show in Competition Info (#78); our national and super cups close at the season's end (#77).
  • The league phase of 36 no longer shows in Kick Off > Cup (#100); league-phase matchday labels and European dates fixed (#75).
  • A world built from tables unpacks the update data_extra cpk after data_s2526 (#75, #63).
  • League Info for our leagues on the game's group slots (#43).
  • A moved club of the game stayed in its Other ... group (#60).
  • A game league's place in a continental cup of ours was refused (#86); a division under a February-December league shows that season (#86).
  • Colombia and MLS listed twice in the Division list (#79); J1 League missing from it.
  • A league cup for a game league sat with South America's cups (Eredivisie, J1 ...): it takes the league's confederation.
  • Ten languages had empty regulation names.
  • The club pickers did not see a world built in the same session (#87); a club the recipe already uses is listed greyed, with where it is used.
  • The Europe preset says Champions League qualifying, as the plan does; Check the plan shows the legs a split's regular phase plays.

Known

  • The squads of clubs in no league come out strong (BATE near 4.5 stars). Set the ratings in Players for now.
  • February-December seasons cannot yet be combined with a split, Apertura/Clausura or a cup.

FL26 Mod Studio 0.1.7.1 (beta)

Choose a tag to compare

@Matozanato Matozanato released this 03 Oct 03:33

Download FL26ModStudio-0.1.7.1.zip, unzip the whole folder and run FL26ModStudio.exe. Or Help > Check for updates in Mod Studio 0.1.1 or later.

⚠️ A small fix release, made with a smaller AI model. The two fixes below were written by a smaller model and then reviewed. Both are checked against the game's tables without starting the game, neither is tested in the game yet. If something that worked in 0.1.7 breaks, please tell us (GitHub issue or Discord #issues) and go back to 0.1.7 meanwhile.

No module changed, so you don't need to install the modules again. A world that was built with 0.1.7 stays as it is.

Fixed

  • A new league right under a second division of the game (League One under the Championship, Serie C under Serie B ...) stopped Check the plan with TypeError: cup_field() takes 1 positional argument but 4 were given (#80, thanks to everyone who reported it: Lub, JamesNotLike, Thunder105, Uncle Lanscilo). Two functions had the same name.
  • A recipe whose only change was a league cup or super cup for a game country was "nothing to build" (thanks vector360). Mod Studio now also counts the game's countries' cups, the European places of the game's leagues, the UEFA ranking, pre-season cups, competition names and logos and the other Build page switches.

Known, coming in 0.1.8

  • Kit Server doesn't apply kits to new clubs (#88).
  • After a Build the club pickers (Kits ...) only show the new clubs after Mod Studio is restarted (#87).
  • Mod Studio doesn't read SP's data_extra.cpk update when it unpacks the tables; probably why some worlds break starting line-ups (#75, #63).
