🍒 CherryHud v1.0.0 — Initial Release

I'm excited to share the very first public release of CherryHud, a sleek, ultra-lightweight gaming HUD overlay and hardware monitor built specifically for macOS!

I created CherryHud to have a clean, non-intrusive way to track gaming performance on Mac with near-zero overhead.

✨ Key Features

  • 🎮 Real-Time FPS & Frametime: Accurate frame counting and smooth frame-time pacing graph powered by macOS ScreenCaptureKit with zero game intrusion.
  • ⚡ Auto-Game Mode: Automatically appears when an active 3D game is in focus and hides when switching back to the desktop or other apps.
  • 🌡️ Hardware Sensors: Live monitoring of CPU & GPU temperatures (via Apple Silicon SMC), utilization percentages, VRAM allocation, and system RAM.
  • 🔋 Battery Tracking: Discreet charge level and charging status indicator for MacBook users.
  • 🎨 Minimalist HUD: Clean, non-intrusive overlay that stays on top of full-screen and windowed games without triggering anti-cheat or stealing focus.
  • 🚀 Native Apple Silicon Performance: Built with .NET 10 and native Objective-C libraries for negligible CPU/GPU footprint.

📦 Installation

  1. Download CherryHud-1.0.0-macOS-arm64.dmg below.
  2. Open the disk image and drag CherryHud into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch CherryHud from your Applications folder or Spotlight.
  4. (First Launch) Grant the Screen Recording permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security so CherryHud can measure real-time game framerates.

📋 Requirements

  • macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or newer
  • Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5 series)
