Overview

First public release of pattern-finder, a parallelised brute-force miner for finding numeric inputs that hash to a given SHA-256 prefix.

Features

  • CLI interface powered by clap
  • Parallelised search using rayon for improved performance
  • SHA-256 prefix matching (hexadecimal)
  • Numeric input search space (0..10^N) with --input_length
  • Configurable output format via --format (text or json)

Usage

# Example: Find a numeric input whose SHA-256 digest starts with '0000ab' and display as text
cargo run --release -- --pattern 0000ab --input-length 6

# Example: Output as JSON
cargo run --release -- --pattern 0000ab --input-length 6 --format json
