SyntheTick turns an investment thesis into audited, evidence-backed picks, and from today the whole platform is open source under the MIT license.

How SyntheTick works

What it does

  • Paste a thesis, an article, a tweet or a PDF. SyntheTick extracts the idea and your rules ("only crypto", "European ETFs only", "no defense").
  • It screens stocks, ETFs, bond funds and crypto, then ranks up to 10 assets with a 0 to 100 alignment score and a reason for each.
  • Every rule is enforced three times: a SQL hard filter, a deterministic code audit and an LLM audit against your own words. If nothing qualifies, it says so. If a vendor has no data, you see a dash.

What is in this release

  • The research pipeline and its prompts (runtime/), the data ingest jobs (ingest/), the Postgres schema with row level security (db/).
  • A server with a public HTTP API and an MCP server for AI agents (server/, docs/API.md).
  • The web app, the X bot, and an experimental agent that trades tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain within onchain Sail mandates (sail-agent/, it can move real funds: read its README first).
  • About 900 offline checks that need no keys: npm run test:offline.

Then follow docs/QUICKSTART.md for the cheapest real setup (a free Supabase project, crypto data, a few cents of LLM credit per run).

Data and licences

No vendor data is in this repository. Market data comes from vendors you configure, under their terms: by default the app hides equity and pre-IPO vendor data and the API relays no third-party market data (DISPLAY_FMP_DATA, DISPLAY_SACRA_DATA, API_RELAY_MARKET_DATA). Crypto data carries the required CoinGecko and GeckoTerminal attribution. See NOTICE.md and THIRD_PARTY.md.

Pull requests target staging. 26 issues are open, 12 of them good first issues. Start with CONTRIBUTING.md; report security problems privately through the Security tab.
