Loom v0.4.0
Loom v0.4 — radical rewrite
Loom returns to the Karpathy LLM Wiki pattern: the files in your folder are the truth, SQLite is just an accelerator index.
What changed
- 1 LLM call per query (down from 4: expand → BM25 → rerank → synthesize)
- 1 LLM call per file at scan time — summary + keywords as JSON
- 1 SQLite table (
files+ FTS5 mirror) down from 10 tables - CLI: 3 commands only —
init,scan,ask - GUI: 2-panel layout — NoteList + ChatPanel, no more Lint/NoteView/StatusBar panels
- MCP server: 5 focused tools (
loom.ask,loom.search,loom.scan,loom.list_files,loom.get_file) - PDF: best-effort extraction, optional OCR via
TESSERACT_LANGSenv var, no cache complexity - ~7000 LOC removed
