This plugin, when enabled will start a 10 second countdown, then produce a random disaster every 5 minutes, with the intent to add more fun, challenge and unpredictability to your Minecraft experience. The countdown, and time between disasters can be changed, with the defaults being 10 seconds and 5 minutes respectively.
Below you will find: a list of commands, their usage and an explanation of the command, a list detailing the currently implemented disasters and what they do, a list of planned disasters that will hopefully be added in the future.
-
Commands:
- /disaster - Main command for the disaster plugin, other commands are sub-commands of this. Alternatives are /d and /dis.
- /disaster enable - Will start the disaster cycle after "countdown" amount of time in seconds and will perform a disaster every "time" amount of time (in minutes). For example, if you run /disaster enable 3 5, a five second countdown timer will start, then the disaster cycle will begin and a random disaster will occur every three minutes. If no time or countdown is given, default values will be used instead. Default time is five minutes and default countdown is 10 seconds. Alterative version of the command is /disaster start
- /disaster disable - Will stop the disaster cycle. Alterative version of the command is /disaster stop.
- /disaster force - Will perform a given disaster. For example if you run /disaster creeper, it will perform the Charged Creeper disaster.
- /disaster force potion - Will perform the Potion Effect disaster with a given effectId. If no effectId is given it will perform the disaster with a random effect.
- /disaster force health restore - Will restore player health to default value (20.0 or 10 hearts). Used as a failsafe if the user stops the disaster cycle, or disconnects before health has been automatically restored.
- /disaster time - Allows you to set the time between disasters without starting the disaster cycle.
- /disaster countdown - Allows you to set the countdown without starting the disaster cycle.

Implemented Disasters:
- Potion Effect Disaster - Will apply a random negative potion effect to every player on the server. The possible effects are Blindness, Darkness, Hunger 2, Levitation, Mining Fatigue 2, Nausea, Poison, Slowness 2, Weakness 2, Wither and Infested. The potion effect will be random for each player, it is not guaranteed that each player will receive the same potion effect.
- Teleport Disaster - Every player will be teleported to a random location within a 50 block radius of their current location.
- Raid Disaster - Picks a random person and spawns a max level raid near their location, based on what the difficulty is set to. If the difficulty is set to peaceful the disaster will fail.
- Delete Item Disaster - Will delete the item in the main hand of every player.
- Charged Creeper Disaster - Will spawn a charged creeper within a 10 block radius of each player. If difficulty is set to peaceful, disaster will fail.
- Ghast Disaster - Will spawn 3 Ghasts within a 20 block radius of each player. If difficulty is set to peaceful, disaster will fail.
- Health Disaster - Will set every player's max health to be 1 heart or 2.0 HP until the next disaster is activated. When the next disaster is activated every player's max health should be restored to the normal amount. If a player's health is not restored or someone disconnects before their health can be restored, simply perform the command "/disaster force health restore" to restore all player's health to normal.
- Double Disaster - Performs two random disasters at the same time.
- Teleport Swap Disaster - Will swap the locations of all the players on the server. If there is one or less players on the server, the disaster will fail.
- MLG Water Disaster - Will replace the item in the every player's hand with a bucket of water then teleport every player 50 blocks above the highest block in the current location and automatically face them towards the ground. They have to perform an "MLG Water Clutch" to save themselves. If a player is in a cave, or under a block, you will be teleported 50 blocks above the highest block above your head. If a player is in the Nether, they will avoid this disaster and will get sent a message saying "You got lucky this time."
- Wolf Disaster - Will spawn a pack of 5 angry wolves in each player's location that will attack them.
- Undead Invasion Disaster - Will spawn 1 of the following undead creatures within a 10 block radius of each player: Zombie, Skeleton, Drowned, Husk, Stray, Wither Skeleton, Zombified Piglin. The mobs will all be hostile to the player and attack them and any mobs that burn during the day will be wearing a leather helmet to protect them. If the difficulty is set to peaceful, the disaster will fail.
- Shuffle Inventory Disaster - Will shuffle every item in the player's inventory, including their offhand and armour slots.
- Swap Inventory Disaster - Will swap the inventories of each player in the server. If there is one or less players in the server, the disaster will fail.
- Sunburn Disaster - For the duration of the disaster, players will burn when in direct sunlight, will only be saved if they are under a block, wearing a full set of armour, or in water.
- Realistic Spider (Arachnophobia) Disaster - Spawns a group of tiny, realistically sized spiders around each player which will attack them, but will also die with just one hit
- Giant Disaster - Spawns a giant that attacks the player.
- Killer Bunny Disaster - Will spawn a killer bunny on each player (may modify to spawn multiple if it is too easy).
- Time Warp Disaster - Temporarily changes the speed of in game time, either speeding up or slowing down the game. (Only slows gravity, can't speed it up)
- No Jumping Disaster - Players lose the ability to jump, in order to go up, they must use slabs, stairs, water or ladders.
- Short Arms - Temporarily decrease the block reach of every player
- Warden Disaster - Spawn a Warden within a radius of each player, the warden automatically despawns after the disaster timer runs out.
- Become Tiny Disaster - Makes the player tiny and fragile. (The exact numbers might be changed over time to find a balance that is fun and challenging.)
-
Planned/potential disasters:
- Phantom Attack Disaster - Spawn the maximum amount of phantoms for each player, based on difficulty or just spawn 4 phantoms.
- Frozen Disaster - Freezes every player in place for a set amount of time, they can move their head but will not be able to move using WASD. This could be achieved by setting player speed to 0 or applying a high slowness effect, however they can still move by jumping with slowness.
- Reverse Movement Disaster - Reverses the movement keys for every player, when they press move left they will move right, when they press move forward they will move backwards and vice versa.
- Become Giant Disaster - Make the player giant so they are a big target or get stuck.
- Mini Boss Attack - Spawn a mini-boss version of a mob, perhaps a scaled up mob that has more health and does more damage.
